android incredible

Often times, we look for the fastest and shiniest new toy when it comes to technology. But it's the workhorse devices that stand the test of time. When it comes to Android phones, it's hard to find a model that makes more practical sense than the Droid Incredible 2. That's not to say the Droid Incredible 2 is boring. It's no slouch in the style and power departments. With the latest Android software, respectable hardware, and great aesthetics, the Incredible 2 has been a resounding success from the word go.
Hardware and Features
Featuring a 4" TFT capacitive touch screen, 16 GB of microSD storage, a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, and 768 MB of RAM, the Incredible 2 has plenty of horsepower under the hood. While other phones can boast beefier CPUs and greater storage space, you won't feel the difference on the Incredible 2 in most cases. In addition, it sports both a 1.3 MP front-facing camera and an 8 MP rear-facing camera. The 8 MP lens is equipped with dual-flash and is capable of capturing 720p video with impeccable clarity.
UI, Software and Performance
Shipping with Android 2.3 Froyo by default, the Incredible 2 runs HTC's beloved Sense UI on top of the base operating system. Default applications include minimal bloatware from Verizon, as well as Rhapsody and Slacker Internet Radio. You can rent movies with the Blockbuster application, and even turn your phone into a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five other mobile devices. The Incredible 2 also comes with GPS and Bluetooth capabilities, as well as a full-featured HTML browser with support for Flash. In everyday usage, the Incredible 2 is remarkably fast and responsive, even when multi-tasking.
Carriers and Network Coverage
The Incredible 2 is available exclusively on the Verizon Wireless network in the United States. That means you'll get the widest available coverage in the country compared to competing network providers. Unfortunately, there's no support for 4G LTE as of yet. While that may be a deal breaker for some, most users find Verizon's 3G speeds to be more than enough for video streaming and downloading. One of the nicest things about the Incredible 2 is that it's a true world phone in every imaginable way. As a global mobile phone, you can use it in over 200 countries and still get great service.
The Final Word
While there are obviously newer and flashier Android handsets available on the market today, the Incredible 2 more than holds its own against the competition. The HTC Incredible 2 is a solid concept that's been executed brilliantly. Everything just works, thanks in large part to the seamless integration between the Sense UI and Android Froyo. If stability and reliability are your primary concerns, the Incredible 2 is one of the best phones on the market today. Fortunately, the Incredible 2 doesn't have to sacrifice performance to achieve those goals.
