android app store

The droid apps market is called the Android Market actually. This is an online store for software and Google developed it for the Android devices that are now on the market. This market comes already installed in these devices so that users can look through and download any apps that appeal to them. Third-party developers are responsible for these apps being available. On the website for the market you can find information on which apps are "Featured" or the "Top Paid" or "Top Free".

If you are a droid apps developer your can distribute your apps through the Android Market too. After you register on the site your can total control on how and when you make your apps available to the public. The whole process of marketing your apps has been made easy at the Android Market too. This allows you great visibility for your apps and you can keep track of ratings, comments and downloads. You can also publish any updates or new versions of any of your apps too. More information on this can be found in the help center which is available.
The Android Market has its similarities to the Apple's App Store along with differences. Google does not have to approve any of the apps submitting. It is a bit more involved with the Apple App Store. One advantage too is the way Google shares revenues with the developers and carriers. They make arrangements on the charges and then 25% to the carrier and 70% to the developer. The rest is for preservation. The developers get paid through the Google Checkout with the merchant accounts.
The Android Market was developed in 2008 in the UK for the purpose of offering droid apps to the public. It was not until 2009 that it came to the U.S. by March of 2009 some 2,300 apps were available to be downloaded through this market. By the end of that year an overwhelming 20,000 apps were available for people to download.
Now in August 2010 the number of apps available has grown to more than 80,000 and there have been more than a billion of the apps downloaded. In some months there has been rapid growth shown with over 10,000 new apps a month being added. As of July 2010 the Android Market offers the freest apps with more than 57% of its apps being totally free for downloading. This is twice as much as Apple's App Store offers and beats out the Ovistore, Windows Marketplace and Blackberry's App World too.
So if you own an android device and are searching for the apps to go with it check out the Android Market. Also if you are a developer it is a great place to offer your apps through too for the droid devices.
Some of the presently "Featured" droid apps are: Kindle for Android, RunKeeeper Free, TIME Mobile, On the Go, Galcon and ElectionCaster. Then in "Top Free" you can find apps like Snake, Traffic Rush, and Basketball Shots 3D. In the "Top Paid" you will find such apps as Droid Breakout, HOMERUN BATTLE 3D, and Deadliest Catch. So check the Android Market today.

games for iphone

While iPhone has always been one of the best smartphones for gaming, iPhone users could not play heavy games on their favorite mobile, owing to the limited processing power of previous iPhone devices. But the launch of iPhone 4S along with the powerful iOS 5 has changed the game. With its powerful A5 microprocessor chip, iPhone 4S has 7 times better graphic support and double the processing speed of iPhone 4.

This has made it possible for gaming companies to develop large-scale games for iPhone. This article takes a look at the 5 must-have games for iPhone 4S. While some of the games listed below are classic hits, the article also includes new games that take full advantage of the diverse facilities offered by iPhone 4S.

Infinity Blade 2
Infinity Blade 1 is already a huge iPhone hit. The second version of this games was released at Apple’s iPhone Presentation Keynote, and this version makes full use of special iPhone 4S features to offer better graphics and gaming experience. The new game is an extended version: it sports over 100 new weapons and a bigger world with better environment. Among games for iPhone 4S, Infinity Blade 2 makes the best use of new iPhone 4S features.

Dead Space
Unlike most survival horror games, Dead Space doesn’t turn boring on iPhone. The iPhone game developer for this console game has been able to recreate the eerie experience on iPhone 4S. The ‘nightmare’ scenarios of this game will grab your attention, and the gory graphics will satisfy your bloodlust. While this is not a game for people who dislike violent games, hardcore gamers will love Dead Space.

Angry Birds Rio
This crazy game doesn’t need use of the special iPhone 4S features, but it is still great fun. Everyone plays angry birds, and if you do not have it in your mobile yet, you are either a newbie or a rarity. This version of Angry Birds uses physics to decide the trajectory of the angry birds, and it offers some surprising twists on the original game. This game teaches an important lesson: iPhone game development doesn’t need to be complex in order to be successful.

Machinarium
This famous PC game has, at last, made it to the iPhone. The mature graphics of this game, combined with superb soundtrack that urges the player to respond faster, make it a very addictive. The point-and-click shooting options for the game suit the iPhone platform perfectly. The best part of this game are its different types of puzzles and changing scenarios. This is a great game for killing time.

Grand Theft Auto 3
One would assume that this popular PC game requires a large screen, but the iPhone 4S version of the game challenges this assumption. GTA iPhone game development team embraced all the new features of iPhone 4S to create this open-world racing heaven: the game works only on iPhone 4S and iPad 2. This version of GTA comes with striking graphics that can only be supported by iPhone 4S’s A5 microprocessor chip.

The mobile development company who created the first part has now also launched its sequel, Rolando 2: The Quest For The Golden Orchid and users are recommended to get both the titles and start their journey through Rolandoland.

2. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars: All those who have played the original Grand theft game on their systems would know how addictive this game is. Further, for just $9.99 it is three times cheaper than its versions for other devices.

3. Dragon’s Lair: This beautifully animated game is a real treat for iPhone users who happen to be a fan of arcade and laser games. Although, the game has been ported many times in the past but it really suits the iPhone. In $5 you can get Dragons lair and enjoy the crisp and bold visuals in a game that requires split-second decisions and controls.

4. Peggle: Peggle has the reputation of being one of the most addictive games to be ever released for iPhone. The game is so beautifully synchronized according to the iPhone and its users that it seems that the game is meant for iPhone only. With more than 100 unique levels and support for multiplayer mode you are in for a very addictive and long time game.

5. Spider- The Secret of Bryce Manor: This is a game anyone can easily fall in love with. The game appears to a standard puzzle based game but in-fact it is a very impressive mystery game which users might very easily miss initially. The game brings along with it a lot of emotions including sadness, fear, cheerfulness, dread and could lift up the spirit of users to amazingly high level.

For all those iPhone lovers who like playing games on their device would definitely find this list very interesting and useful. As for organizations and businesses who want to launch a game of their own, it is recommended that you hire a reputed and experienced mobile development company or software development company having extensive experience in mobile apps development for iOS.

verizon iphone 4

Four years after the iPhone 2G launched on January 9, 2007 Apple finally released its smash hit smart phone to a seconds cell phone service provider. There have been rumors about Verizon receiving the iPhone for years and it finally happened in 2011. Verizon is launching the fourth generation iPhone on February 10th 2010 to millions of excited customers.

The iPhone 4 is exactly the same as AT&T’s iPhone 4 with two exceptions.

- On Verizon you cannot have a concurrent data connection. This means you cannot talk on the phone and use the browser, check email, use the gps or do anything else while you’re talking. You can talk and browse the web at the same time on AT&T’s network. This may not be deal breaker, but it is very helpful to be able to look something up for someone you’re talking to instead of needing to hang up with the person, look up the information and then call the person back.

- The other small difference is the vibrate and volume button locations. On the Verizon iPhone they had to be moved for some reason. This means the case manufactures are going to create specially made Verizon iPhone 4 cases
Video calling is one of the most compelling feature of this highly-anticipated phone's debut. The iphone 4 can make phone calls even more personal as you watch your girlfriend tear up after popping the question. Or maybe you want to see your boss's reaction firsthand as he reads your new report. Wouldn't mom love to see that beautiful Hawaiian beach in the background as you bask in the sun on vacation? And the video calling works right out of the box with Skype (no Wi-Fi required)!

What about the display you ask? IPhone 4's retina display is so vibrant and crisp that the human eye is completely incapable of identifying individual pixels. This remarkable resolution makes the iPhone 4 the sharpest phone screen in production--just another paramount feature on this amazing phone. No more pixilated images!

With high-definition video recording and editing, you're the director. Film in Hd even in poorly-illuminated locations courtesy of the backside illumination sensor and a built-in L.E.D. light. Also, you can film and edit yourself using an app called iMovie. This new app is only $4.99, and is purchasable at the App Store.

Multitasking has never been easier with the iPhone 4. Process multiple third-party apps simultaneously, and switch effortlessly between them without retarding the phones performance on foreground apps-- or prematurely depleting the battery. Since there's also an app store with countless applications(many of them for free) you'll never suffer an idle moment with iPhone 4.
The iPhone 4 is arguably the coolest phone to be released on to the market. So go ahead and yell it aloud : Wow, video calling!

Most prominent features of the iPhone 4:

- Video calling ( this feature operates right from the box).
- HD video recording and editing ( also, a five-mega pixel camera with a LED light.)
- Retina display ( screen size is 3.5" diagonally and boasts a pixel resolution of 960X640 @ 326 P.P.I. )
- Find your iPhone is now free. You can sign up on Apple’s site and if you ever lose your phone you can locate it on a map in real time.

iphone plans

The competition for the iPhone market is gearing up as both Verizon and AT&T plan to battle it out for the hearts and minds of consumers in the wake of the recent announcement that Verizon will begin selling the popular smart phone mobile device in early February of 2011. Effectively putting an end to AT&T's monopoly over the iPhone market, this plan marks a clear step forward for both consumers and the electronics community.

Verizon is starting off swinging, with new features and the enticing possibility of improved service through its CDMA network. But the most exciting possibility may be an unlimited data plan, which could very well attract a great deal of attention from customers. The Wall Street Journal reported on the 9th of January that Verizon may plan to aggressively push an unlimited data plan as an alternative to AT&T's plans, which may be slightly less expensive but are very tightly capped.

Verizon originally began experimenting with an unlimited data plan for selected smart phones back in April of 2008, and such plans by Verizon as well as other companies have been a very popular option among many consumers. Surveys have shown that consumers tend to prefer these kinds of unlimited data plans for their smart phones, so this could be a very profitable offer for Verizon to keep on the table.

Some have suggested, though, that this may be a risky strategy if it turns out that Verizon's CDMA network is unable to keep up with the demand of users migrating over to their services en masse. These concerns may be a little overblown; however, as such a scenario seems to be a little too unrealistically optimistic about Verizon's impending impact. It's safe to predict, though, that both Verizon and Apple will greatly benefit from this change in the marketplace.

The unlimited data plan isn't all as it seems, though. Data plans for use of the 3G and 4G mobile broadband continue to be capped, and while the "unlimited" plan doesn't set a specific cap, Verizon does reserve the right to interfere if a customer generates more than 5 gigabytes worth of bandwidth. This serves basically as a cap by another name, but it's a much higher cap than other plans and may therefore still be considered a worthwhile alternative by the community of iPhone enthusiasts.
AT&T has, as of yet, shown no inclination to offer any form of unlimited data plan. The telecommunication company's current maximum offering is capped at 2 gigabytes per month for a monthly payment of twenty five dollars. Plans change, however, and AT&T may eventually find itself in a position where offering such a plan to consumers becomes an attractive option for bringing in new subscribers.
We will have to wait until February to see how everything plays out, but it's certain to be an interesting show. iPhone users are cautiously optimistic that this will all result in a greater range of service and selection for their favorite smart phone mobile device.

Memory card password Solved Closed

help, using memory card.

When it comes to accessing files on a memory card, using a card reader is the quickest as well as most reliable way to gain access to all your personal files whether it be photo, video, music or any other type of media. Most laptops released on the market today come included with some sort of card reader as well as some desktop pc models also include this great feature.

Gone are the days when you needed to connect a usb cable to your device as well as install software just to get hold of your own files. On that note I have listed a short guide on how to use your memory card reader to copy data to and from your card. Follow each step carefully and you will find access to your memory card in no time.

Prepare your pc or laptop for transfer.
First thing I advice doing is preparing a folder on your computer that you will be using to transfer the data to. If using windows it is just a case of right clicking your mouse button on the desktop and selecting create a new folder. Simple as. Be sure to name the folder as to avoid confusion.
Inserting your memory card into the card reader.
If using a memory stick or standard sd memory card it is just a case of inserting the card into the appropriate slot. Remember that some memory sticks require a memory stick duo adapter to function in the card reader.
Pay attention to your computers screen.
If using windows a screen should pop up asking what you would like to do. In this case we are simply just transferring data from the memory card to the computer. Choose the option that states relates to copying pictures into a folder via the scanner and camera wizard.
Follow the instructions step by step.
There is not much to say at this part of the procedure just follow the on screen instructions making sure you choose the options you require. You will be asked to check the boxes of the photos you want copied and simply clicking the copy button to start the transfer. From there you will be asked what folder you would like the photos copied to so be sure to locate the folder you first created at the beginning of the guide. Once done the process will start immediately and be done ina very short amount of time.
Congratulations you have successfully transferred your photos from your memory card to your computer!
Pat yourself on the back, and go and show everyone your amazing new pc skills. You deserve it!

What Does the Red Light Mean on the HTC HD2?

The HD2 HTC smart phone, available with the T-Mobile network, offers multimedia messaging, GPS and access to the Internet. One of those features includes a light emitting diode notification at the top of the screen and one on top of the phone itself. This light may flash from green to amber and even red, when it is experiencing a problem or you have several notifications

  1. Charging Issues

    • When the battery is fully charged, the LED emits a green light. When the battery wears down, it emits an amber light, meaning there’s only 20 percent of the battery left. When there is a 10 percent charge left, the light changes to red. If there is an issue with the charging process, the light will blink red. If this happens, confirm there are no bent pins in the connection between the phone and the charger. If the charger has bent pins, it cannot deliver the charge to the phone sufficiently.

    Multiple Notifications

    • The HD2 HTC smart phone uses the LED element at the top of the phone screen to inform you of messages. When you receive a new message, the LED emits a green light. In the case of multiple missed notifications, this light may turn to a blinking red light to let you know to check your messages. You will need to check voice, text and email messages and clear this for the light to stop blinking.

    Third-Party Applications

    • Sometimes the red warning light means an application is causing a problem. Because the T-Mobile HTC HD2 phone works with third-party applications, sometimes one of these applications can conflict with the phone’s software or another application resulting in the red light. Close out each open application one at a time and pay attention to the light. If it goes out after a specific application is closed, this is the problem application.

    Bad Battery

    • If the HTC HD2 battery is not working properly, the red light will blink or come on. When you are charging the HTC HD2, until the phone accepts a charge, the light will stay red, as it charges the light will change. If you’ve charged it for three hours and the warning light stays red, the battery may require replacement or is causing the phone to overheat. At this point, replace the battery to see if that works, if it does not, the phone requires service.
