android 2.3

Android 2.3 comes with rich multimedia capabilities that will thrill both the common users and the Android developers. With features like mixable audio effects, support for new media formats, access to multiple cameras, the new media framework offers a versatile multimedia experience. Android mobile applications can take advantage of these new and advanced Android 2.3 capabilities to offer a vivid multimedia ecosystem. Outsource Android development team can make use of these various features to enhance the complete multimedia experience.

Audio mixing
Android 2.3 is loaded with a new audio effects API. Android developers can utilize this API to create vivacious audio environments. Audio effects API allow developers to configure audio equalization, bass boost, headphone virtualization, etc. Multiple audio effects can be mixed in a local track or can be applied across multiple tracks globally.
New media formats support
Capturing high-quality audio is feasible with Android 2.3 platform through its support of AAC encoding and AMR wideband encoding in software. Further, support is in-built for VP8 open video compression format and WebM open container format. This support provided by Android 2.3 is expected to set standards for high-definition video playback. WebM lets users to play videos on Web sites like YouTube in the Android Web browser.
Usage of multiple cameras
Android 2.3 comes with the upgraded Camera API allowing the Android developer access to multiple cameras present on the Android device. Android developers can query the Android 2.3 platform regarding the number of cameras on the device and their specific characteristics and then choose to open a particular camera. This allows developers to utilize available resources depending on requirements such as using the back-facing camera with higher quality resolution for taking high-quality photographs or using the front-facing camera with lower quality resolution for video conferencing. The front-facing camera too now can shoot and record videos.
New media framework
This new media framework in Android 2.3 platform now replaces the Open Core whilst maintaining all the older codec/container support for encoding and decoding. Some amount of support is available for extra-large display devices like tablets and TVs, e.g., if you have a Samsung Galaxy Tab, Android 2.3 platform will let you make more use of the extra-large screen the way Google wants you to. The 2.3 platform supports video chat as well, although to use video chat on tablets, you need to install extra software add-ons. Multitasking allows the users to run simultaneous multimedia sessions such as sending mails, updating spreadsheets and watching favorite videos.

iphone 4 verizon

Picking out a new case for your Verizon iPhone 4 can be a difficult task, especially if you have never owned an iPhone before. There are literally hundreds to choose from, and many of them look dangerously similar. Don't make the mistake of buying the wrong one for your new Verizon iPhone. You can avoid this by spending time researching the best iPhone 4 case brands and the cases that each brand offers. Some of the most popular brands include Otterbox, Incipio and i-Luv. All of these brands have a variety of styles in their line-up, which are all very different from each other.

Otterbox for iPhone 4
Otterbox has become the single-most popular brand of cases for all cell phones, especially iPhones. These have become so popular because they are basically indestructible and supply your iPhone with the ultimate level of protection. Think of these cases as if they are actual bodyguards for your iPhone.
Otterbox has currently only released one type of case for the new Verizon iPhone 4, but they promise more are on the way. This case is known as the iPhone 4 Defender Series case and will cost you around $49.95. This is a fairly high price point for iPhone 4 cases, but the high level of protection is well worth the few extra dollars.
Incipio for Verizon iPhone
Incipio is one of the newest iPhone case manufacturers on the block, but actually has the largest selection of Verizon iPhone cases available among all manufacturers. Their different cases currently include (from least expensive to most expensive): the dermaSHOT Silicone, the Feather Ultralight Hard Shell, the NGP Matte Semi-Rigid Soft Shell, the SILICRYLIC Hard Shell with Silicone Core, the EDGE Hard Shell Slider and last, but not least, the BOMBPROOF Silicone case. Now that is a large selection of cases!
Obviously, after looking at the picture of the BOMBPROOF by Incipio, you will see that it offers the highest level of protection among all the Incipio models, but also comes with the highest price tag. The most popular Incipio case for the Verizon iPhone 4 (determined by customer feedback) is the iPhone 4 feather Ultralight Hard Shell. This case is awesome because it has the perfect balance of protection and functionality. It's less than one millimeter thin, making it feel like you don't even have anything on your iPhone. The Incipio Feather is also reasonably priced at $24.99.
i-Luv iPhone Cases
i-Luv is one iPhone case maker that is loved by its customers. They mostly make simple cases in bright colors. Some of their most popular cases include their metallic case, flex-gel case and the most unique Verizon iPhone case on the market, the glow in the dark case. I-Luv's glow in the dark case was sold out before it was even in stock, but is now available for purchase!

new android system

Android Phones
The new Android phones are phones that operate on the Linux Kernal mobile operating System. It was developed by Android Inc, and later purchased by Google. This system enables developers to write managed codes in the java language and control the device with Google developed Java libraries.

The Android Phones are the phones of the future because they combine the ultimate advances in mobile phones, video, cameras, PC's and Navigation systems with multiple applications. The Phase development of the Android Phones started with the first model that had bugs and poor documentation, this was first introduced with the Sake Game-Android Development Phone. Next came the Android SDK it had a debugger, libraries, documentation, and tutorials. The final droid was the Android OS-Donut which added supports like voice search, priced applications and Gmail freeze fixes.

The Android OS system is important in this new system because it allows third party developers to create their own screen widgets. This allows for more applications and more opportunities for the manufacturer. The new Android Phones are being made by Google, Motorola, and HTC, LG, Dell and others breaking into the Smartphone market. The technology that it promises is ground breaking. The Android system acts like a robot, the user tells it what to do and it does it with supposed lightening speed.
The new Android Phones are basically bringing the desktop to the mobile phones. It allows for emailing, instant messaging, and web browsing all at the same time. It can run applications in the background while the user goes to a social network site. It also allows the user to listen to music and write an email at the same time, while talking on the phone. The possibilities are endless; the Android system allows several applications to run at the same time, just as a computer with windows does.
There are thousand of applications available for the Android phones and more are becoming available everyday. With the apps and the ability to multitask without having to shut down one act to do another is the new age of the mobile phones thanks to Goggles Android system. The new Android 2.0 is the latest in the line of Android systems to hit the market. The capabilities and promises are coming true very quickly as 2.0.1 stands ready for release.
Many people enjoy using the Android Phones already and sales have been phenomenal. Everyone wants a system that acts like a PC but is really a phone with all of the capabilities. The technology has just begun and there is more to come.

android new intent

The Android platform has been developing at an almost dizzying pace lately. The number of new releases in a short period of time has lead many to warn that fragmentation has become a serious danger to Android. Google's Android team has responded saying that the Android fragmentation is a myth. Is fragmentation of Android a myth or is it something that should concern Android developers?
Fragmentation has affected Linux and other open source systems in the past. It occurs when a system has multiple versions with very different components. For example, Linux distributions have their own file system arrangements, different window managers and different packaging systems. This makes it difficult for application developers to create applications for Linux on the expectation that certain components will exist or be in the same location.

Causes of Fragmentation
Android has suffered from some of the classic causes of fragmentation. First, there are wide differences in the capabilities of the hardware devices on which Android runs. While in many systems, this could easily lead to severe fragmentation, Android has not been as affected by this. Android is, however, being very rapidly developed. Each new version of Android has added capabilities. Handsets on the market are running as many as five different versions of the Android operating system. This is where the greatest danger of fragmentation lies. Finally, different manufacturers have been dressing up Android with various add-ons and custom user interfaces. These variations in how Android looks and feels can also lead to fragmentation.
Google has responded to the many reports of Android fragmentation by calling it a "myth". They have put in place some systems and a plan that should help address the issue of fragmentation. Google is so sure of these plans that they believe fragmentation does not exist.
Fragmentation Prevention
One approach that Google is taking to prevent fragmentation is slowing down the development of Android. The rapid development allowed Google to add new functionality to Android and reach a level of maturity that makes Android competitive with other smartphone platforms. Now that Android is fully featured, the development can slow back down.
Along with slowing down the development of Android, Google has developed a plan to make Android more modular. This will allow users of Android based systems to update individual components of the Android system even if their carrier has not moved to a newer version of Android. For example, if a new version of Gmail is released, users can decide to upgrade Gmail on their phones. This modularity is being applied to various systems including items like the keyboard.
Another approach that Google has taken to try and prevent fragmentation of Android is to adopt a series of standards that must be followed to gain access to the Android market. These standards define minimal functionality that a handset must have in order for the carrier to ship the Android market with the phone. By controlling the market, Google has ensured that these standards will be adhered to. These standards generally deal with hardware and include things like every Android handset must have a camera. By using these standards, Google can assure developers that certain functionality will always be available on an Android phone.
Intents are another type of standard that Google uses to avoid functionality. An intent is a type of interface that Android uses. For example, an application that sends email will use an intent to launch a an email composition window. By using intents, it is possible to replace the default email client with another application and still have the expected behavior from other applications that write email.
Custom User Interfaces
While these systems certainly seem to help reduce the risk of fragmentation, calling it a myth seems to be a bit bold on Google's part. The biggest source of potential fragmentation seems to be custom user interfaces being applied to Android by various phone makers. It is not uncommon to see updates to applications in the Android market geared towards fixing a bug with a manufacturer's custom UI. Of course, using anecdotal evidence from the Android market to determine if custom user interfaces are fragmenting Android is not a very solid approach. It seems reasonable, however, that heavy customization of how Android looks and feels will fragment the platform.
This threat goes beyond just creating problems for developers. End users will not be able to pick up any Android handset and expect it to work in the same way. Various custom Androids start to present a learning curve for the end users which may reduce the uptake of Android.
Google says that fragmentation of Android is a myth based on the systems that they have in place to combat fragmentation. However, it does appear from browsing the market that developers are struggling somewhat with supporting the various versions of Android, the different handsets and especially the many custom user interfaces. Is fragmentation really a myth? Post a comment with your thoughts, especially if you are developing for Android and have encountered compatibility issues with a custom user interface.

How to Look for the Best Android Apps and Games

After purchasing a new Android device, whether it is a tablet or a smartphone, we then turn to the marketplace in search of the best Android games and apps. There are numerous on-line directories available that have very comprehensive lists, some better than others. Generally these lists are divided into sections, for instance, the most popular, the hottest, the top rated, plus there are also lots of reviews to browse through for the best Android games and the best Android apps.

For those who are after Android applications, there are screenshots and quite often short videos illustrating how these apps or games work. These can be found in the arcade and action section and if you are looking for the best Android apps, these can be used for productivity, communication or entertainment purposes. Many other categories are available, from where you can choose applications or games that fulfill your needs.
Of course there are large numbers of new games and apps coming out into the marketplace every day. Some of these are free and for some, there is a small charge. The best Android games or apps can be either, if a game or app is free it does not imply any lesser quality, in many instances the opposite can be true. Most of the free apps have ads displayed and are they are usually unobtrusive, but sometimes, ads can be really annoying by blocking important content from the game or because they are placed in a position where you can touch accidentally.
Almost every Android application list website lets you subscribe to the RSS feed to get the latest updates so you'll be the first who knows when a new app is available. Each application has a detailed description, from ratings and comments to required system permissions, screenshots or a direct QR bar code or market link for direct downloading from your phone.
As well as finding internet reviews for the best games and apps, quite often we will find out about a game or an app from a friend or colleague. Personal recommendations or reviews are always highly influential. Different groups and ages of people will be interested in different things, but there are enough of the best games and apps out there, to meet everyone's needs.
If one particular app or game does not suit or does not perform as expected, it's a simple process, just like programs on a laptop, to delete the game or app from one's device. Android OS is designed in such ways that require minimal resources on the device, so it is possible to have numerous games and apps running on the one device.
My website is one of the top on-line resources for Android available where you can find Android apps and games. We constantly update our applications, we had a peak of 100.000 apps on our website, and after a cleanup of the low quality apps we now have about 80.000 applications and games. *Android is a registered trademark of Google, Inc. i phone t

Tons of peeps all over the world received their iPhone to use with their Verizon plan yesterday - so I thought it would be good timing to start a series for the beloved apps - what apps I absolutely love and can't live without, arty apps, fun games, and organization tips. As someone who has an iPhone for almost 2 years, and has 231 apps in circulation (not to mention the amount of apps I've downloaded and gotten rid of). I hope my insight can help the newbies get started quickly, as well as begin to see how their lives will never be the same!
First up are the apps I use every single day. These are apps that have changed my life, can't live without them, would die if anything happened to my iPhone and I couldn't use these. Seriously.
(NOTE: I do not get a kick back or am an affiliate of ANY of the following.)

  1. Alarm Clock. Recently, iPhone's Clock stopped working one morning and thousands of people who rely on this app for their alarm clock missed appointments, meetings and most importantly, their flights. Nevermore! The Alarm Clock app has lots of features, and decent tones to wake up to as well as the option to wake up to a song in your iPod.
  2. CalenGoo. For those of you who use Google Calendar (and you probably should since it's portable from anywhere) CalenGoo is by far the best calendar app I've had. Options to invite people to events, color coded just like on the computer, you can zoom in and out and it saves all the important details from your meeting information. Even works when you have no internet connection, which is so very awesome.
  3. The Weather Channel. I check this app a few times a day. If it's winter, I check the "hourly" forecast to see when it's supposed to start snowing. If I'm shopping for an outfit, I check the 10 day to see what the weather will be like when I'm going to be wearing said outfit. If I'm traveling, I check to see how the weather will be where I'm going. And every night I check to see what the temp will be like the next day so my husband and I can plan what to wear. Invaluable.
  4. Evernote. This one is a handy-dandy catch-all, both online and on the phone. Online it's a great bookmarking system for info and websites, on the phone, I snap photos of my driver's license so I don't have to dig it out of my wallet. I keep banking account info on there (yeah, my phone is locked up tight) so I can make deposits without having to remember my bank account numbers. You can snap photos and upload them to your online Evernote so you don't forget a price, or product, or name of something.
  5. Facebook. I read my news feed everywhere I go, if I'm stuck in traffic, in doctor's offices, and I think my news feeds have been more interesting when I'm posting from somewhere when something interesting has happened to me, like the time I posted when an older lady with a dressed teddy bear asked me to watch him so she could go buy her breakfast. Lately, people have been emailing me on Facebook for business so it's good to be able to keep up with that too.
  6. Google Maps. I use this wherever I go since it has GPS - and I never get lost. I just type in the address and go. It has a map feature so you can see how far and a list feature for the rights and lefts of it.
  7. MobileRSS. This is the best iPhone RSS reader I've ever used. Keeps my Google reader organized, allows you to tweet and share articles the same way you would online, or save articles for reading later offline. Very attractive interface.
  8. Producteev. This is the best to-do organizer out there, and I've tried ALL OF THEM. Sync it to an online version for your to-dos daily, business, home, volunteer work, whatever is in your life, this thing is awesome. Syncs to Google calendar and reminds you of stuff you forgot - which is great both online and on the go. The app is indispensable.
  9. Allrecipes. Know you have chicken to make for dinner but have no idea what to do with it? Try their Dinner Spinner, which lets you put in the ingredient, the meal, and the time you want to take to cook it to find recipes. LOVE this!
  10. IMDB. When you're watching TV or a movie and can't remember what else that guy was in. Or when you want to know how old she is, or who they were married to before. I use this app more and more. Recently, I've found it's useful for seeing age differences in characters, like when they pair someone up with a mother who is actually 8 years older than they are. Fun. I use this app way more than I ever use the online website.
  11. Our Groceries. A totally FREE app that lets you keep a running list of what you need from the grocery store as well as sharing the list with your spouse, so they can see and/or add to the list. We used to use Grocery IQ but it is clunky, has too many coupons and runs super slow. This is the best alternative. Why write down a grocery list ever again? You won't lose this one and you can put stuff on the list as you think of it, or run out of it. Also an Our Groceries online version that everyone can type their groceries into, in case you hate typing with your iPhone, or aren't used to it yet.
  12. Shazam. I really love Shazam. Never, ever wonder what the name of that song is or who sings it, ever again. Plus, once you "tag" it, you can then purchase it from iTunes or see the video on YouTube. I use this one a lot.
  13. Yelp. I use Yelp before I go to most restaurants I've never been to before. At the very least, other people's reviews will tell me what to order or not to order, but it also offers directions, restaurant websites, hours of operation. Sometimes these are better than most restaurant websites.
  14. NetFlix. I have a Netflix account, yes, for $10 a month. But it affords me so much more! I can watch TV and movies on my iPhone now! Don't think I don't take earphones everywhere I go, in case I have to stand in line for 30 seconds, because I do. Yes, I do. Lately I've been watching the Kids in the Hall series but I've also been known to indulge in the first four seasons of 30Rock and Parks and Recreation.
  15. AroundMe. Where's the nearest gas station? ATM? How far is the closest Bed, Bath and Beyond? Is there a parking garage in the next few blocks? All of these questions and more answered with this handy app, especially when you're traveling but also when you just forget where crap is.
iPhone users - what are the apps YOU can't live without so far? Did I miss any? Can you share some with me? I love me some apps!

iPhone and Android: Is BBM in Their Future?

Research in Motion, or RIM, may release Blackberry Messenger, or BBM, for iPhones and Androids. This rumor has flown around the internet for months but has yet to come to fruition or be affirmed by RIM. On the contrary, at the Blackberry World 2011 Q&A Session for Developers, RIM has affirmed that they are not in the process of developing their BBM to be used on the iPhone or the Android. Although they did not rule out the possibility of an interface to enable the BBM for iPhone or Android users in the future, it seems that they have a very good reason not to pursue this route.

The Blackberry Messenger is built on a proprietary platform and infrastructure that sets the Blackberry apart from other devices and is one of their primary differentiators. In order to adapt the BBM for iPhone and Android users, a complete restructuring would be necessary and they would lose one of their main advantages over their competitors. This is according to one of the developers at the Blackberry World 2011 Q&A Session for Developers.
However, RIM has recently confirmed that they have an adaptation for the Enterprise level that allows third-party interface with BBM. This enables the employees of a business to interface their devices with those of the business and use the BBM for iPhone and Android devices.
It is entirely possible, however, that enabling even limited use of the BBM for iPhone and Android devices could attract a new demographic of iPhone or Android users who find themselves enamored of the BBM application and would therefore make the switch to Blackberry.
Even though many critics say that RIM is missing out on a large percentage of the market by limiting the Blackberry Messenger to their own devices, RIM seems inclined to stay with their current marketing direction. Despite the many rumors to the contrary, at the present RIM is indicating that the only BBM interface for other devices will be in the Enterprise area, which is designed for the business sector.
Other companies have developed similar applications, such as Kik and PingChat!, that can be used across different platforms and Apple now has iMessage which is similar to the Blackberry Messenger. However, when RIM filed a lawsuit against Kik that alleged patent infringement, Kik would no longer accept BBM users. Apple's iMessage will work with the iPad, the iPhone and the iPod touch but not the BBM.
Part of RIM's reluctance at the present to share the BBM application with other devices may be the current state of their company, which has laid off 2,000 manufacturing workers while at the same time hiring two new COO's.
In summary, for those users who were anticipating the BBM for iPhone and Android devices, the wait will continue as RIM has not indicated that this is on their agenda in the foreseeable future. RIM has confirmed this in at least two separate statements and currently plans to offer a BBM interface in their Enterprise area only.
Hello, my name is Jacob and I am the owner of this blog. Here you will find the latest news and updates on the Blackberry Messenger. I think Research in Motion is really missing the boat by not making BBM available for other applications so I will keep on top of this for you. If you want to learn more about BBM for the iPhone and Android, visit my website at BBMForiPhones.com to read more articles and see the latest videos on the subject.

Idea For an iPhone Or Android Application - Photo Notes

The Need:
All phone users across the world have some time or other felt the necessity to describe a scene or object to another person on the other end of the call. However technology has still not given us the ability to click a photograph and send it across as a description to discussion. Often the photo has to be clicked before and notes are sent either verbally or in a separate SMS.
The Setting:
The target area where such a need is most likely to be fulfilled is the smart-phone market and their users. Smartphones already have the capability to make phone calls and click photographs. The higher end phones like Androids and iPhones have the capability to deploy custom applications. The people carrying such mobiles often experiment with their apps and may be more open to new apps like these. So this happens to be the perfect setting for such an application.

The Concept:
An application which seamlessly interfaces with the main dialer application. This application will have access to the camera as well as be capable of using a photograph as a canvas to write notes and basic graphics (like circles, squares and arrows). The application should be able to click the photograph and write the notes while the call is in progress and send it as an sms/mms/web attachment to the phone number at the other end. That way there will be a seamless way to describe things while in the call.
The Use Cases:
One strong use case is troubleshooting in industrial repair scenarios. Often a field engineer is not as well trained as a main engineer sitting at the dept of maintenance. Such an application would make real time remote repair possible. Another possible use case would be directions for a person coming to meet you. You could send a pic with your setting and a circle around the destination!
The Challenges:
There are of course a few challenges in developing such an app.
  1. The phone has to have a powerful processor to multi-task like this (Snapdragon maybe)
  2. The application should have a basic paint like interface which maybe difficult to develop in non-touch devices
  3. The phone should not stall the call or the voice clarity while processing the photo
Notwithstanding these challenges, the usefulness of such an app would make the phone a real asset. To this end I am in the process of writing the code for such an application for my android phone. Wish me luck!

android game marketing strategy

The craze of mobile apps is still on and many organizations are trying to capitalize on the demand. There are hordes of people who resort to text messages or chat when trying to communicate with their peers. With the advent of cheap smartphones, push e-mail and 3g connections are available in some reasonable models. Recent statistics reveal that most smartphone owners also possess credit cards signifying their money-spending power. This is indeed a very important statistic in regards to companies who are targeting the upper middle class who have a reasonable spending power and an important segment in the B2C sales scenario.
The difficulty is that it is hard to choose the best mobile technology. Though Android is ruling the roost today, iOS is not far behind and the elite class actually prefers the Apple OS to the Google counterpart. Mobile advertising is also a trendsetter and comprises of different topics on their own. It is important to get the focus right.
More and more people are opting for mobile-optimized websites as many of them browse for information directly into their mobile handset. It is important for companies to have their websites mobile friendly and also focus on strategic apps which are relevant to your website.
The advantage with mobile apps is that a superior app provides a far better user experience than a mobile website which is blabbering about the company services. But the cost of a web app is something which is not well discussed and thought about. Graphic-intensive games are too costly during production too.

Creating a native iPhone app from scratch is more difficult to make a similar app for its counterpart. If you want an Android or a Symbian app to replicate the success of a native app, one needs to develop the app from scratch.
There are so many companies which have come up to create and sell apps and most of the income is built upon direct charging for the app, in-app purchases, or subscriptions. There are indirect means of earning money too like the ads posted with the famous Angry Birds game app.
If you're intending to charge for your self-created mobile product, one should opt for creating a native app. Apps are normally free, and the whole part of marketing an app is to distribute it as widely as possible. That mostly covers up the cost involved. It is important to gauge the reach of an app as to how many prospects and customers will the app reach finally? That is how the success of a mobile app can be assessed.

iphone on verizon

Apple and Verizon recently announced the launch of the much awaited iPhone for the Verizon network. This new iPhone, whilst looking exactly the same as the iPhone 4 has had a couple of minor changes made to it. What do these changes mean for those people wanting to purchase accessories for their new Verizon iPhone, and in particular for those people wishing to move from the AT&T network to Verizon?
Differences Between the iPhone 4 and the New iPhone for the Verizon Network
First, let us look at the changes that Apple have made to the Verizon iPhone. According to a number of blogs and websites the new iPhone is exactly the same as the iPhone 4 except for a minor repositioning of the external antenna and the slight relocation of the Mute and On/Off buttons. The antenna changes have resulted in the repositioning of the gaps between the external antennas (a new gap has appeared just above the Mute button) and the volume buttons, whilst still on the left hand side, have been moved ever so slightly down the phone (presumably to accommodate the antenna change).

Can You Use iPhone 4 Cases on the Verizon iPhone?
Most likely not is the simple answer. Whilst the repositioning of the external antenna will probably have minimal impact the relocation of the Mute and On/Off buttons will. Most of the cases being designed and manufactured at the moment are precision made and therefore have been designed to exactly fit the external features of the iPhone 4.
The slight change in the positioning of the external buttons will mean that cases designed for the iPhone 4 will not fit the new iPhone designed for the Verizon network. In particular iPhone 4 cases that have separate holes for the Mute and On/Off buttons will certainly not fit the Verizon iPhone.
iPhone 4 cases that have a full opening to accommodate the Mute and On/Off buttons may fit the new iPhone however, do not be surprised if the case does not fit perfectly. Owners of leather pouches and flip-cases looking to purchase the Verizon iPhone should be unaffected.
When Will the New Cases be Available?
A number of iPhone case suppliers have announced that they will be modifying their iPhone 4 case designs to take into account the subtle changes. These cases will be available from 11 February 2011 to coincide with the release of the much anticipated Verizon iPhone.

iphone 4 tmobile

All the leading network providers in the UK have announced the availability of the latest iPhone by Apple, but T-Mobile has not mentioned any specific dates. However, the advertisement of this device is already on the website of the network provider and it can be expected that it will soon start to stock the iPhone 4. The ardent followers of T-Mobile contracts and deals are sure that their wait will be worth it.
Unlike the US market, where the Jobsian mobile phone is exclusively available on AT&T network, the UK users have a variety of choices to make. It might be one of the reasons that all the network providers are stocking limited number of Apple iPhone 4 because there is a huge demand of this handset. T-Mobile is probably waiting to get over this initial wave to introduce its contracts and deals at the right time. Hopefully, the stock of the mobile phone will not be limited with T-mobile as it is the case with the other operators in the UK.
Those who are interested to get iPhone 4 on T-Mobile, they can visit the website of the network provider and register their interest. The website features a form that needs to be filled up by the interested buyers with name and contact details. Registering the required details will help the prospects to get updated information on the availability of the phone to order from the website. The details regarding T-Mobile contracts, plans, prices and pre-ordering will be emailed to the prospects whoever submit this form. With such details, the interested buyers can compare T-Mobile contracts on iPhone 4 and choose the best deal.
Mobile phone service provider T-Mobile is based in Germany and operates numerous GSM networks in Europe. There are more than 150 million subscribers of the network, which makes it the seventh largest network provider in the world. Recently, T-Mobile UK has joined hands with Orange UK so that they can together become the largest operator in the K. On the other hand, Apple iPhone 4 is speculated to be the best thing to happen in the mobile phone industry. Therefore, when this new iPhone will be available on T-Mobile contracts, there will be a good buzz among the consumers. As of now, we can only expect that the network provider start to stock iPhone 4 soon.

netflix iphone

The Netflix iPhone application is one of the top 100 in the Apple App Store. Also available to iPad and iPod touch users, the Netflix iPhone application gives users the ability to watch the same movies and television shows right from the iPhone. This instant streaming app for iPhone is free for users; however, it does require a Netflix subscription to utilize its features.
About the App
The application requires users to sign in to their Netflix account before downloading and using it. A basic Netflix account costs $8.95 a month and the app will run on any device using iOS 3.13 or newer. The basic account allows users to rent a single DVD at a time, which ships to the user's home in addition to allowing users to watch as many movies and television shows they want from their computer. However, to use the iPhone application, the subscriber must subscribe to the unlimited plan after the trial period expires. Additionally, if users want to watch these movies and shows from other devices, they must subscribe to the unlimited plan as well, which is more expensive.
After logging into the Netflix account from the application, users are given a choice of what they want to do; browse based on previous searches, browse new movies or new television shows and browse "Movie's You'll Love." Additionally, users can choose from various tabs to switch from the home page to genre listings, a search page, and an instant Queue page if the user's Netflix account has one.
Movie and Video Playback
Playing videos using the Netflix iPhone application is allowed on both the 3G service and Wi-Fi network service. However, those without unlimited data plans should watch on Wi-Fi, otherwise, they would incur massive overages on their bill. However, if using the 3G network, keep in mind that the video buffers constantly as compared with Wi-Fi, which plays seamlessly; no buffering or other hiccups. Once the video starts, users are presented with a slider bar so they can fast forward, pause, rewind and stop the video.
This app allows users to pick up where they left off if they have to stop a video in the middle of playback. Additionally, if a phone call or text message is received in the middle of a video, the video will pause itself to alert the user. The user can reject or accept the call or message and the app will resume where it left off once the action is taken.
Downfalls with this App
While the Netflix application is the most popular movie viewing application available on the iOS platform, the app itself lacks a few distinct features, which should have been included since users are required to sign up for an unlimited account. For example, the app lacks some of the genres found when using Netflix at home. Additionally, users cannot synchronize their video orders from the application. For example, users cannot watch anything they have ordered at home. They must re-order the video from the app using the Watch Instantly Queue instead. Additionally, the Watch Instantly Queue cannot be re-ordered so the titles added must be added to the bottom of the list only.
Overall, the simple fact that the iOS platform can finally stream video is a feature that many users are happy to have. Not only does the Netflix application whet the appetite for this newly acquired feature, but it does it better than others do. With an average user rating of three and a half stars out of four, the Netflix app for iPhone is one of the top rated and for good reason.
