Verizon Officially Announces iPhone Release Date

Have you been a loyal Apple fan but have not been too happy with the coverage and dropped calls of the AT and T service? Have you been a loyal Verizon customer, but really wanted to have the iPhone as your cellular device? If the previous question set applies to you, the following article will clarify the official release date of the iPhone to the Verizon network.
In mid January, Verizon made an official statement that they will soon be carrying the iPhone 4 as a communication and data device on their cellular network. The talk of Verizon carrying the iPhone has been brewing ever since Apple signed a contract with a Chinese manufacturer last march. Since that time the release date was speculated several times to be September, then November for holiday sales, but there was never a peep from the Verizon officials confirming or denying these allegations.
It is now official, the iPhone will be available to current customers on February 3rd and to new customers on the 10th. The largest letdown of this announcement was that the phone will operate on their current CDMA network rather than on their 4G LTE network. Their rationale for this is that the major complaints of current iPhone users is dropped calls and lack of coverage area. Their current network offers the most stable coverage and reliability available. The major question still unanswered is whether customers will be able to simultaneously browse the web and talk on their device while not on a wifi hotspot. Current AT and T customers are able to do this and this offers more than just web browsing, but also the ability to use the maps feature to find a location and to send emails while talking. These features are hallmark functions of the current iPhone 4 and the AT and T network and are charished by many potential and current users.
Verizon announced that the price of the devices would be the same as the current prices for new or eligible upgradable customers ont he AT and T network; those being $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model. If you are not eligible for an upgrade the price is $499 for the 16GB or $599 for the 32GB. The details of the Verizon specific device capabilities are yet unreleased, but speculations assume that this device will not have the death grip issue or oil build up issue of the AT and T model. The rest is left in secrecy until the big release date.

Apple iPhone 4S Launched on Pay As You Go Deals

The news that many have been waiting for, the new Apple iPhone 4S has now been made available on Pay As You Go deals in the UK.
For those consumers who prefer not to be locked into a long-term contract deal with their new iPhone 4S this is great news, it also now means that even those with a poor credit score can finally get their hands on this latest Apple iPhone as there are no credit checks to pass when applying for pre pay phone deals.
The first of the UK network providers to release the iPhone 4S on pay as you go is Vodafone, the operator has made every single variant of the latest iPhone available as a pre pay phone which means not only are the different memory variants including the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB now on sale but also the same phones in their white colour schemes.
The big advantage of the pay as you go system of phone ownership over iPhone 4S contract deals is that the consumer has complete control over their mobile expenditure, with no monthly bills to surprise them they can simply top up their calling credit either online, over the phone or by buying top up vouchers from high street outlets and supermarkets.
As with any new Apple product, the new iPhone 4S is not an inexpensive item and this is reflected in its price as a pay as you go phone, the cheapest 16GB edition of the handset will cost the consumer £499 up front but without any ongoing bills to worry about it is up to the user how much more they spend on their usage.
Vodafone are currently the only UK networks to release pricing for the prepay iPhone 4S, however with contract prices very similar across all networks based on the actual trade price of the phone it is unlikely that other operators will fluctuate far from these costs.
There is another set of consumers that could now benefit from this latest release and that it those who have lost or had their mobile phone stolen and were covered by any form of insurance, they will still be liable for the remainder of any outstanding monthly line rental fees to the end of their contract period so buying an iPhone 4S on the pay as you go scheme would keep them in communication.
The Apple iPhone 4S is expected to be released on further prepay networks over the coming days as well as being launched on Tesco Mobile deals with 12 month contract offers which should be the most cost effecient way of owning this latest iPhone.
