Android, Occupy Wall Street

What if a race of androids were created to give humanity a desperately needed survival path? Androids get fit into society as a saving force. Early androids prototypes, likely would be weak, doddering, and have limited computer power. But with dedicated work by developers, they'd evolve into strong cyber-beings with powerful computers, running intuitive programs. Once they were ready, the android race could become this valuable demographic in society. They would lead, mostly by example, but if given just enough political clout, they could tip the scales against financial meltdowns and ecological disasters.

Sure they'd occupy Wall Street, and European Banks too, for that matter. Imagine Special Prosecutor, Fitzgerald, for instance, armed with android assistants, investigating and fixing the financial system in America. High concentrations of wealth and institutions, "too big to fail" could be reconfigured and diversified to be a more numerous and safer group of institutions, where a mistake in one would be self-correcting by the others. And such a mistake would not bring down the world financial system, as we witnessed in 2008. Plus such a bank could either be bailed out by the others, with financial reserves from all, or if necessary be allowed to fail.

The right to fail is a valuable gift to humans, because it has led to all kinds of advances, modifications, and progress. Even football coaches talk about teachable moments and hope they aren't game loosing.

Wealth could be better invested with small entrepreneurs and with the American people, because the middle class is too big to fail. What if 'droids, bankers, and the 99% called a Constitutional convention and fashioned laws to solve our financial problems, restored America to world leadership, restored the Bill of Rights to it's former lofty position? In truth, we'd all be more comfortable with the outcome.

If the android mandate was general enough, this all would be a possibility. How long would it be allowed to go on though, before an Internet revision would put a stop to it all? Such a glitch allowing great, android freedom would not be allowed to go on for long. Wow, did those 'droids go to town though, maybe an upgrade wouldn't matter. What if we got it done without having to use 'droids?

How long could such far-reaching changes in our system last? The Chinese have a proverb: "Prosperity can only last for three generations." And they know this to be true from bitter experience.

Let's hope the 99% stays a peaceful movement, and that change comes about by consensus and improving attitudes. Helping people out, building good foundations, and investing the wealth around positively, actually brings a lot of joy, that a few wealthy people have come to experience. In truth the middle class, that came out of the New Deal, allowed individuals and families to become very rich. So no worries.
