Ufone in accordance with its strategy to introduce the latest Android smart phones in Pakistan have recently launched the HTC ChaCha (no, not the Chacha in Urdu! It’s more like along the lines of one two cha cha cha, three four cha cha cha! ) and the HTC Wildfire S. In the international market, both phones were launched in February 2011 so both phones are still relatively ‘new’ in the market considering Pakistan always gets things considerably late.
Both smart phones have similar features including:
- Powered by HTC Sense and Android Technology
- 5MP Camera with LED Flash
- Built-in GPS Systems
- Capacitive Touch Screen Displays
- Gingerbread 2.3 Android System
- 512 MB RAM
The HTC ChaCha comes with a fully built-in QWERTY keypad and an exclusive Facebook key as well. The ChaCha is being termed as the ‘Facebook Phone’. It certainly does give the user a Facebook-like experience and has actually been endorsed by Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. It also has a slightly faster processor. The Wildfire S has a bigger display screen. Overall, both smart phones are sleek and lightweight and provide swift response times.

- HTC Wildfire S: Rs. 24,999
Added incentives are being offered by Ufone with the smart phones. On purchase of the HTC ChaCha, customers will be given Ufone to Ufone call time of 100 minutes free, internet for 2 months (30 MB/month usage) and a whopping 9000 SMS valid for 30 days. All in all, this makes it an offer difficult to turn down!
Furthermore, the smart phones are offered unlocked, so you don’t have to take the hassle of unlocking them yourself, and is under warranty.
