iphone 4 vs android x

Motorola's newest Android phone, the Droid X burst onto scene with its impressive range of features. The battle between the Droid X vs iPhone 4 is on. But have they done enough to conquer Apple's iPhone 4? Read on to find out.
The Droid X boasts a large 4.3 inch high res display which is one of its most striking features whilst the iPhone has a smaller 3.5 inch display but has a higher resolution screen due to its Retina Display. In terms of overall picture quality, the iPhone 4 wins here although some people may prefer the extra 1.2 inches in screen size in sacrifice of the better quality image.
The Droid X feature's an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash while the iPhone 4 features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. The iPhone has a second front facing camera which enables you to do video chat opposed to the Droid X which has only 1 camera. Both screens feature a touch screen which allows you to use an on screen keyboard.

In terms of image sharpness in still shots, the Droid X does fair slightly better but despite the extra 3 mega pixels on the Droid X, for overall image quality and the benefit of having a 2nd camera for video calls, the iPhone 4 is superior in this area.
The sound quality from both phones during calls is crystal clear. Although the iPhone 4's audio sounds slightly more full and sharp. Both phones feature noise cancellation technology which delivers a noticeable improvement by eliminating background noise in calls so your voice can be heard clearly.
For connectivity features, both phones are similar although the Droid X is the winner here. They both feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The advantage the Droid X has here is that it can re-broadcast wireless signals and act as a mobile hotspot which enable to use other Wi-Fi devices with your 3G connection. The Droid X also features a HDMI out port which enables you to connect it to a TV, whilst the iPhone 4 is limited to AV cable connectivity.
The Droid X comes with 8GB of storage on board; in addition to this it also includes a 16GB micro SD memory card to increase the storage to 24GB. The Droid X can be expanded to a maximum of 40GB with a 32MB memory card.
The iPhone 4 comes with 16GB on board storage but cannot be extended like the Droid X can. However, there is a more expensive iPhone 4 model which is supplied with 32GB of storage. In comparison of the storage at each phone's base level price, the Droid X comes out on top here.
Overall, the iPhone 4 edges it. Both these Smartphone's have excellent displays and come feature packed. Certain aspects such as storage and display size/quality come down to personal preference. The iPhone 4's vast selection of apps, smooth and intuitive OS, contemporary sleek design and excellent multimedia performance really keeps it ahead of the chasing pack.

new iphone

Scientists have developed a novel gadget that converts the iPhone into a powerful medical tool to review skin cancers.
The wonder device named 'Handyscope' when plugged with an app into the Apple smartphone turns iPhone into a dermatascope, which doctors use to detect cancer.
Marketing Manager of the device Valeska Heinrich said, "The Handyscope combines the latest communication technology with a sophisticated tool for skin cancer screening, opening up a new era for cancer diagnosis.
"This is a very exciting innovation and the first of its kind in the world. The Handyscope makes skin examinations much more convenient by allowing them to be carried out anywhere. The brilliant dermatoscopic photos on-screen show important details at a glance, so a decision can quickly be made on whether a mole is suspicious."

Working of Handyscope
The Handyscope uses a polarising light to check whether a mole is malignant. It has a standardized zoom and auto-focus that clicks images of a mole with a single tap of the iPhone's touchscreen.
The special feature of the device is that the images captured can be mailed immediately to the dermatologist for an early diagnosis. Images can be enlarged on the full screen at 20 times their actual size and then saved with another tap on the screen. The shooting date and time is automatically recorded with the uploaded images.
In addition, the relevant data of the patient and other necessary information can also be added manually. All the data is encrypted and can be protected with a password to preserve doctor/patient confidentiality.
Dr David Pye, a researcher based at Salford University stated, "This is a powerful piece of kit which could be very useful for people in the profession assessing whether a mole is cancerous.
"Sending images around the world for expert diagnosis could be incredibly helpful and this is the first time I've ever seen anything like this before.
"During a mole examination you're looking for things like irregular edges and unusual colouration, which the device would be very good at picking up.
"However, I don't think it will be Joe Bloggs performing examinations at home - this is likely to be for doctors who could do with a second opinion."
Handyscope an expensive gadget
Handyscope is made by German-based firm FotoFinder is an expensive technology. The gadget, which is being launched today is priced at £995 while the app needed to use it costs £6.99.
The Handyscope can be purchased online and the app can be bought from the Apple iTunes store.

For about a year, people have been debating the merits of two types of smart phones. The first which in my opinion that got the ball rolling on smart phones is the iPhone. Prior to iPhones arrival only a small percentage of people who purchased phones purchased smart phones. Now only a small percentage of the people who purchase phones purchase something other than a smart phone. The second works much like an iPhone but is based on Open Source is called Android.

The Key Differences Between These Platforms are these:
1. OSX the OS that powers the iPhone will only work on an iPhone. The pluses are the manufacturer controls the hardware and the software making the changes where the changes will make the most impact for the end users experience. The minuses are it will only work on one brand of hardware, and one specific phone at that.
2. The Android OS will on on a variety of smart phones made by a variety of manufacturers. The pluses are if you had a bad experience with a Samsung, no problem Android also runs on Motorola, don't like the look and feel of Motorola, HTC makes one too, problem solved.
3. Only apps approved by Apple can be on the iPhones app store. Some people feel that this restricts way too much flexibility and want more control over what they can and can not install on their smart phone. Others feel assured that only apps that run properly will be approved by Apple and make it to the app store.
4. A Choice of only two carriers if you opt for an iPhone vs a choice of all 4 National carriers if you choose an Android device. Currently the iPhone only works on the networks of AT&T or Verizon. Most every carrier has a device that runs Android.
As you can see from the above one of the themes that keeps coming up is people who want more control choose Android. People who want all of the work done choose iPhone. So which one is better, I feel that question can not be answered because it changes on who you ask. If you work on computers or like to tweak things, I would recommend the Android OS its based on Open Source and you can literally write your own program to run on it if you choose. If you want to get the app that you need and just use it then an iPhone would be a better fit.
And that's what this whole debate boils down to. There is no such thing as a perfect smart phone, but there is a such thing as a best fit smart phone based on the user who purchases it.
Next we'll learn about more about these popular smart phones. We'll cover iPhone 4 vs Android on this website, iPhone 4 vs Android.

android apps

So you have an android device and have all the apps you want. Now you are wondering just how to create your own android app. By reading below you can learn the steps to creating some good money making apps. Just like most things there are numerous tools to create Android apps and we will put you in the right direction to start this process. Android application development is now a flourishing business, because it is based on an open source platform. If you are a programmer you will find it easy to develop apps.
When designing an app you need to make sure that it is functional. Before you start the process of designing your app, you need to know all apps use XML files which is the primary source to define user inter face and layouts. These XML files are linked to activities carried out by the application; which is corresponds to what's on the device's display; either vertical, horizontal or tablet form. There are different layouts but it makes it easy to fit various different screen sizes and shapes. The different aspects for an app are graphics and controls.

When you start to design an app remember it will take awhile to create, you shouldn't expect to accomplish this in one day. It is better to think in the big picture and create many apps than to focus too much time on one or two; this way you have more sources to make money from.
So you have an android phone now you will need to get Android SDK, which is Android's basic app writing program. The Android SDK is also equipped with a comprehensive set of development tools like debugger, libraries, a handset emulator, documentation, sample code, and tutorials. The built-in features of Android SDK provide the base needed to build some great mobile applications and providing a great opportunity for developers and entrepreneurs to cash in for technology. Android enables developers to create compelling mobile applications that take full advantage a handset has to offer.
Next you should look through the Android market to see if there is an app like the idea you have. If there is already a successful app that you want to make it may be hard to compete against an already successful app. Go through and download some apps to play with and see how they function to help give ideas of what you can and can't do.
Once you have you idea it is a good idea to sit down and draw some screenshots on paper to show how your app will look on paper. Just remember the screens are small and you will not want to over clutter the screen. Once you have a layout done have someone go through the buttons and walk them through on paper how it functions to see if it has unclear instructions or lack of functionality.
Things to remember while designing the app are not only is it a touch screen, there are other issues like zoom, pan, and movement of the phone and movement speed. Also keep in mind the buttons need to be big enough for fingers to select.
So now you have your app laid out, you will need to decide if you want to outsource to someone to develop your app or create it yourself. Also start thinking if you want to have your app be free or a paid app. If you choose to do a free app, money can still be made from ads. You can use AdMob to add Google AdSense to your apps.

android 2.3

Android 2.3, aka Gingerbread, is a new version of the Android development platform. It comes with many salient features for the users; for the Android development aficionados, Android 2.3 includes many new technologies and APIs that support developing great apps. This version comes with dozens of changes and a few ground breaking Android mobile applications technologies are highlighted below.
User Interface Refinement
The updated user interface makes it easy for users to control and navigate the features of the device. Menus, notification bars, and other user interface items are rendered with vivid colors on a black background. The user interface is designed for better power efficiency and refined for faster learning and easy usage.
Efficient Text Input
Android 2.3 comes with an improved on-screen keyboard enabling faster input, intuitive typing, and quick editing. The keys are redesigned for optimum placement and targeting - it is easy to view and select the keys accurately. The device displays suggestions from the dictionary to correct entered text. Multi touch key c-hording allows the user input symbols and numbers faster by selecting Shift+and?123+ - no need to switch input forms any longer.

Control Over Applications And Power Saving
Android 2.3 introduces the "task killer" which can be used to terminate misbehaving Android applications. This version gives the user a better insight into the apps running in the background, memory usage, and CPU time usage. This lets the user to exercise increased control over the power consumption by the system and Android applications. The application settings provide details on battery usage and relative power consumed by each app. Android 2.3 proactively takes care of apps that keep the device awake for too long and monitors disproportionate consumption of CPU resources. Through these new features, Android 2.3 ensures optimum device performance with efficient batter power utilization.
Native Code Development Features
Android 2.3 comes with Release 5 of Native Development Kit (NDK), giving Android developers a leg up to scale the productivity peak. The Android developers can now receive input and sensor events, create sound, design 3D graphics contexts, access storage, utilize assets among others. The sensor types now supported are gyroscope, linear acceleration, rotation vector and barometer sensors, which enable Android developers to accurately track device motions and orientation changes. New apps provide control over audio handling via native code through management of audio devices, audio input/output controls, etc. Enhanced native code development is a significant empowerment for any Android development company.
New Communications Options
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is now integrated into Android 2.3 though you will have to get a SIP account from a 3rd party. VoIP lets you make voice calls over the Internet to other users who have SIP accounts. Near-field communication or NFC is a new way of communicating via tags. The NFC Reader that comes with Android 3.2 can be used to read NFC tags and act upon information contained in it. Additionally, all downloads, whether from your browser, email, or other apps, are now managed in a centralized location. This gives the user convenient access to all downloaded content. The common download is managed by a new download manager, which can be used by different applications to store content in a single location. Also, Android 3.2 comes with the camera app, which gives you access to the multiple cameras on your device.

android os

The Android OS is a mobile device operating system developed by The Open Source Alliance specifically for the mobile device environment. The Android OS is similar to the way the iPhone OS works with widgets and icons on the home screen. A few things that make the Android different than the iPhone OS is OSX will only run on an iPhone. Whereas the Android OS will work on a variety of smart phones made by a variety of manufacturers. The advantage of here is if you don't like a specific handset, and want an Android OS you can choose a different one by a different manufacturer. Another difference is you can literally write your own program to run on an Android handset. Where with devices that run other OS's you can only use what the software vendor approves.

One thing iPhone and Android share is both OS's have their roots in the former Bell Labs (Now AT&T and Verizon due to a forced divestiture that occurred in the 1980s.) It all started with the UNIX OS. In 1975 the UNIX OS was made available outside of AT&T to educational and research institutions due to a U.S. Federal law prohibiting AT&T from sales of products due to its unique monopoly status, and as a result was made available at no costs. In this stage Unix saw itself splitting into various flavors. Two of which will be covered next.
Fast forward to today, the UNIX platform has evolved through different paths the two of the most well know of these is, the Mac OS, and the Linux OS. Mac is a Unix based OS that only runs on Apple products and Linux is an Open Source OS that will run on just about anything out there. The Open Source nature of it makes the code public and anyone who can improve upon has the right to do so as long as they share the changes that they made.
One of the biggest partners to the Open Source Alliance in bringing Android to market is Google. Google's servers all run on Linux. Many in the IT world will tell you Linux is far superior to its Windows counterparts, when it comes to running servers. The main thing that kept Open Source software out of the market was it lacked marketing efforts, and ease of use. Whereas Apple built there brand on, marketing and, ease of use, and in order for the Linux kernel to gain popularity it had to be marketed, which is what Google brings to the table and gain ease of use which is what the Android platform brings. The biggest advantage to Android is you can make it do just about anything you want.
Next we'll learn about two of the most popular smart phones. We'll cover iPhone 4 vs Android on this website, iPhone 4 vs Android. android vs iphone 3gs

Motorola has recently released a new phone called the Droid X (Extreme). It has recently received a lot of hype, especially for the fact that it allows you run multiple apps at once. But is this cell phone superior to the iPhone 3G, which has been one of the best selling smart phones since its release in '09? Let's find out.
Let's begin by examining the Droid X. It runs on Android 2.1 OS with latest MotoBlur extensions and will soon be updated to Android 2.2. Motorola Droid X has 1 GHz TI-OMAP 3630 processor which allows it to run multiple applications at the same time while performing all tasks twice as fast as its competitors. It also comes standard with 512Mb RAM and 8GB of memory and you can add up to 32GB of additional memory through the SD card slot (which is also the most out of any other phone). It also comes with one of the largest touch screens: 4.3" inches 854 X 480 resolution. This phone also has a very comfortable keyboard, which lets you type without lifting your fingers. It is also equipped with an 8MP camera which is better than anything that other phones have.

Now let's take a look at the iPhone 3G. It runs on the Apple's iOS, which has more apps for it at this point than the Android. It has the ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor which is very fast, although not quite as fast as the Droid's. It has a 3.15MP camera and, even though it's smaller than the Droid's, it has a better flash and the quality is really good. It also has a 3.5 inch TFT touch screen with 16 million colors and a 320 x 480 resolution, which is pretty nice.
Now let's look at some similarities. They both have Bluetooth connectivity. They are equipped with Wi-Fi which allows you to connect to the internet. Their browsers let you easily go on Facebook, Twitter and other websites. Both phones have no physical keyboard, but the on-screen keyboard that they have is pretty comfortable.
So which phone is better? Well, at this point, if I had the iPhone already, I would not trade the iPhone 3G for the Droid X because it is still pretty new and it has more apps than the Droid. However, if I was buying a new phone, I would definitely get the Droid X instead of the iPhone 3G because it has superior hardware and because it'll have as many, if not more, apps for it as the iPhone 3G in a short time. So in a battle of the Motorola Droid X vs. Apple iPhone 3G, I would say the Droid X takes home the trophy.

android 2.2 vs iphone

Apple's iPhone and Google's Android 2.2 Froyo are getting ready for another epic battle. On the first look of it the Android performs faster that iPhone except when the former is enabled for Flash 10.1 plugin. Latest devices from respective titans in the world of smart phones, they can both give unforgettable experiences to the user.
Google, Verizon, and Adobe announced their next wave Android based Motorola Droid device on June 23rd. A day later Apple and AT&T launched iPhone 4. Both appeared almost simultaneously in American and European markets.
Market statistics reveal that Apple has already sold by July, 2010 over 600,000 iPhone 4. However, they suffer from serious ordering problems in United States. On the other hand the one launched by Google and others is a significant upgrading of the popular brand of Motorola, the Android. The battle for the smart phone crown is now virtually on.
New iPhone 4 boasts of some impressive items like the front facing camera, high definition 720p recording of videos, 5 megapixel rear facing cameras, three axis gyroscopes, 960x640 resolution and LED display of 3.5 inches. Above all it has much longer battery life than its predecessors.

Android 2.2 Froyo on the other hand has Droid X technology. It features 4.3 inch display, equal video recording capabilities as iPhone 4, HDMI output and screen resolution of 854x480. Eight megapixel cameras with flash and various other advanced features mark the excellence of the device. It also has the capability of using the Flash Player 10.1 used for the mobile devices.
While both the devices look very impressive, android suffers from one drawback that keeps iPhone 4 a step ahead, is the absence of front facing camera. On the other hand the feature of HTC's Android based EVO 4G keeps it a step ahead of iPhone 4. That means with pros and cons balanced, one is back to square one in determining which one is better; android or iPhone.
Some of the features of Android 2.2 Froyo are new home screen widget tips; and it also has dedicated shortcuts. Improved security, numeric pin, alpha-numeric options for unlocking, remote wipe, exchange calendars, auto discovery, exchange account, global address lists, gallery, camera onscreen buttons, and LED flash enabled for Camcorder. Multi lingual uses can add several languages with auto suggest dictionary feature. Kernel memory management booster improves the memory by 20x.
Apple brings up new nice hardware most of the times. On the other hand a new Android device makes its appearance in the market every time. Apple has lagged behind in keeping pace with Androids in terms of multiplicity of devices.
When it comes to sales as well as market penetration, it seems presently iPhone4 is way ahead. Apple occupies about 28% of the mobile phone market in United States. In contrast the Androids including Android 2.2 Foryo occupy only 9% of the market. Both have grown by around 2% over the years and also by that rate during the first quarters of 2010.
Thus iPhone still has much larger share of the market but Android is coming up very strong and is likely to give them a run for their money in near future.

The Battle for Supreme Mobile Gaming
A lot of rumors about the iPhone 5 being an extreme gaming console are rumbling around the internet. As this thing goes, a lot of tech geeks are saying that if this is true, then Apple might be planning to engage in a battle against what is considered the "PlayStation Phone" - the Sony Xperia Play.
The rumors about this supposed "battle for mobile gaming" were born out of the leaked information that Apple will install their best (as of the moment) processor and OS on the iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5, or sometimes they call it the iPhone 4S, has been revealed to have the powerful A5 chip that is best for gaming performances ever tested.
Though these rumors are still hearsay, and Apple have been quiet about their next generation iPhone, rage among Xperia and iPhone users are prevalent all over the internet.
Reports included that the iPhone 5 is the sole device that can match the gaming experience that the Xperia can give if it can provide better gaming heights to its users.
As Xperia Play is a premier gaming and mobile console that can still be accepted as the best mobile phone for gaming, the iPhone 5 might stand a chance or even surpass it if it has the physical buttons for tactile feedback.
The Xperia Play has these things, but as far as the iPhone as concerned, they only have touch-sensitive screens to use for playing. So considering that touching the screen most of the time obscures game elements, the iPhone 5 might still be under Xperia play when it comes to better gaming even with the A5 chip.
Gaming and tech gurus are now waiting for the iPhone 5 to be released so they can test and proclaim the winner of this battle. Without having to test each possible game, they can never give out an accurate result for this battle for supreme mobile gaming.

So if you are a gamer and you would also want to check the results yourself, and it's just too lucky that you have an outmoded iPhone, ditch the dreary stuff and go for something thrilling! Selling your iPhone will give you the chance to buy that iPhone 5 or the Xperia Play.

android for iphone

In basic language, Corona produces Android and iPhone versions simultaneously. Ansca's program, Corona, is used to create apps for both the Android and iPhone. iTunes and Android Market always list Corona developed apps in their top 10 categories.
iPhone and Android application development
Corona, for the price of $349 per year, will allow iPhone and Android developers to build an app and publish it as well in different formats available in iPhone and Android. Outsource iPhone developers and their Android counterparts do not have to be hired separately. By using the same developers for both platforms, time expended on developing and fixing bugs in apps eliminated. iPhone Developers can use their talents in broader ways.

Corona uses programming language that is much simpler than Java or C++ and developers tie Corona's basic language to English commands. It has been documented that an iPhone and/or Android developer can get a Corona-based game delivered in eight days, saving time and stress. Remarkable!
Games and Outsourced iPhone Developers
The current movie Dolphin Tale has a game app that is downloadable to the iPhone, iPad, and the Android system. The film's co-screenwriter, Noam Dromi, who also does the marketing, claims that without Corona, the games Dolphin Tale would not have been developed, and his incredible marketing ploy for the movie itself could not have been utilized. Create a game for an up and coming movie. Play the game; go to the movie. As Noam Dromi says, "The mobile phone is no longer an afterthought,"
Developing across platforms
Corona was developed for writing across platforms, iOS versions, and screen sizes. Outsource iPhone developers can write once and then transfer or build that app to iOS or Android at the touch of a button. Corona automatically scales content across devices from Smartphone and tablets.
Corona makes use of simple, but powerful APIs (application programming interface). This allows software programs to communicate with each other or serves as an interface between different software programs. Corona makes use of the advanced features in an API by using just a few lines of human-friendly code. iPhone developers use realistic physics in a game with just five lines of code. Allowing outsourced developers of the iPhone and Android phone platforms, developers from Indies (independent company or groups) to major studios can create chart-topping apps, games, and eBooks.
What outsourced iPhone and Android platform developers say?
In October 2011, one outsourced developed used Corona to increase the number of apps he/she produced from four to six. Corona is helping iPhone developers all over the world by showing the ease of creating apps. Corona's goal is to help developers succeed and to prove to iPhone and Android that using outside developers provides a cost savings, is original and can be fun.
Advantages of Corona iPhone application development
Top apps that mirror the content and the themes of major movies can be developed by Corona quickly. Corona also provides integrated support for in-app purchase, banner ads, and virtual currency. Monetize faster and easier than in the past.
No more cookie-cutter apps. When developing iPhone apps, Corona provides everything needed to go beyond the ordinary. No longer do outsourced iPhone developers have to use the code and programming other app developing tools use, developers can advance an app for the iPhone, iPad, and even Android platform by using Corona to make apps behave and look exactly how these you envisioned them.

android 2.2

Samsung's Galaxy Tab with Android 2.2 OS is being widely regarded as a worthy competitor to Apples iPad while still being primarily a mobile phone.
This modern device has won a lot of compliments, rave reviews and plenty of appreciation from the clients in a very short time. You'll find this phone through different mobile phones deals. All the major telecom networks like Three, Virgin, Vodafone, T mobile etc are providing various Samsung Galaxy Tab deals.
The dimensions of the Galaxy Tab are 190x 120 mm; it stays extremely slim at just 12 mm. It's also light-weight at 380 g, and thus a lot more portable as compared to its Apple rival. The TFT capacitive touch screen measures 7 inches and it is able to display approximately 16 million colors from the screen which usually packs 600x 1024 pixels directly into its dimensions. This leads to top quality high-definition display, which means HD video can be appreciated for what it truly is. The same TouchWiz UI as found on the older Samsung Galaxy S makes an appearance, providing a customizable and simple-to-operate experience. The display also includes multi-touch help that allows functions like pinch to zoom, whilst an accelerometer alarm is usually included with the impressive Swype text input program.

In spite of a storage space of 16/32 GB there's a special slot for the mini card that's for expandable storage, a total capacity that can match the capability of a computer. Thereby there is an infinite storage capacity. Besides there's a 3.15 megapixel digital camera which includes auto-focus, LED flash, a secondary digital camera of 1.3 mega-pixels. Little wonder, all the network suppliers are facing great difficulty determining the exact Samsung Galaxy Tab deals.
Various specs include supporting system for DLNA, built-in GPS, HSPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. The 4000 mAh battery power will need to shut down for 4-6 hours of continuous use, that's somewhat disappointing however a software patch (for much better application and processor regularity managing) could restore that.
Samsung has most certainly not cut any corners when determining to stake their claim in the Tablet personal computer market. The Samsung Galaxy Tab could be the new kid on the market with huge shoes to fill, but with its specifications and style, this really is the system which has got what it takes. There are some great discounts available for this amazing Android phone/tablet that will easily slip into a pocket or purse.

· iOS 5:Its user interface is based on the concept of direct manipulation and multi-touch gestures.
· iMessage: It is the software designed by Apple to compete with Blackberry Messenger. This would be for the Smartphone messaging services.
· iCloud: The new upgrade will automatically sync with iCloud which will allow the users to share photos, apps and other documents.
· A5 Processor: This 5th generation phone will be powered by an A5 Processor.
· 8mp Camera: The phone will feature a 8mp camera which will be able to capture 3D picture.
· Display and Resolution: The screen size could be 4 inches with higher screen resolution. The iPhone 5 is supposed to be slightly wider and thinner in compare to its predecessors.
· Other Features: The iPhone 5 will feature sim-less design with 2 to 3 internal antennas for CDMA and GSM compatibility.
The iPhone will feature the most high-end features available in the market which make it a "World Phone". Since the iPhone 4S has already been released, the iPhone won't release before 10-12 months from now and so at this point of time it would be too early to speculate the iPhone 5 price. It is expected the iPhone 5 price will be at an affordable cost and it is supposed to be around the same as iPhone 4S when it was launched.
According to the latest rumors people can expect the price of iPhone 5 to be around $300 for the entry-level model and around $495-$825 for high-end models. These are the best predictions so far, and it is anticipated that the prices of iPhone 5 are not going to be way too expensive like the previous versions of iPhone.

iphone 5 vs iphone 4

Speculations that iPhone 5 will look more like its predecessor, iPhone 4, are becoming too loud as the release of Apple's new baby approaches. But does that mean that iPhone 5 will no longer interest you? Definitely, not after reading this. If the comparison goes like" iPhone 4 versus iPhone 5", how can a new generation phone outshine the existing smartest phone in the world? If you will try to review existing write ups about iPhone 5, you can already tell the difference between them. To help you figure out what makes an iPhone 5 better than the other, here's an easy to digest analysis.
Though it is believed that IPhone 5 maybe slimmer and lighter, some still says that it will look much like its predecessor. But if iPhone 4 came out with issues on weak signal, having a death grip in particular, Apple will not fail to address this issue with the birth of iPhone 5. In addition to that, iPhone 5 is bragged to be the smart phone to come with the greatest signal strength ever.
If iPhone 4 uses 3G network, iPhone 5 made video chatting more exciting with the use of 4G network. It is also supported with a greater image processor for an improved photo and video viewing.

Coming with a shatter proof, scratch free and drop resistant screen, iPhone 5 is also way more durable than iPhone 4 and the rest of its older generations that is said to have vulnerable screens.
To avoid being lost, a GPS application was installed by most iPhone 4 users. But now, with iPhone 5, there'll be no need to install a GPS application because it already has a built-in GPS to help you through your trips. With this feature, you won't have to worry about getting too far. And if getting too far can consume more energy from your phone, a longer battery life comes with iPhone's 5th generation, too.
If you think that iPhone 4 has got the fastest for you, then brace yourself for a top loading speed gadget that could support your multitasking habit. With iPhone 5's dual core processor, what could be hassle about having too many apps on your high end phone?
Moreover, if it sucks to have your friends or classmates sliding your locks or guessing your iPhone 4 codes, you can now make them give up with iPhone 5's facial recognition feature. Allow only faces your phone authorizes so your apps, files and messages will be safe.
Now tell me, with theseanalysis, can you simply say that iPhone 4 is still the smartest phone you could have and that iPhone 5 no longer interests you? This comparison review is all about taking the intelligent world another notch higher and telling you that there is a very good reason to move over and upgrade one more time. Why? Because surely, this iPhone 4 versus iPhone 5 article doesn't reveal all that Apple has yet to offer us at the launch of their new generation of iPhone. So with iPhone 4 versus iPhone 5, which will you choose?

verizon iphone vs android

AT&T has the iPhone and until just recently the smart phone Goliath was king of the castle. Back in late October, Verizon Wireless unleashed the Motorola Droid, a device that runs on the android platform. Another Android phone gaining a great deal of hype is the Nexus One by Google. Apple actually went after Google with a patent lawsuit. It's no secret that Apple's Steve Jobs and Google CEO Eric Schmidt aren't very fond of one another. The Google CEO was asked to step down from the Apple Board and an Anti-trust investigation was started. Schmidt said he wanted to "Kill the iPhone" and Jobs to offense to that saying something along the lines of,
"We didn't enter the search game, they entered the phone game so they clearly want to kill the iPhone."
So the war of words had begun. The Google Nexus One is already available on the T-Mobile and AT&T networks and will be available for the Verizon network in the second quarter of 2010. With Apple being the first player in the touch screen mobile device arena there hasn't been a worthy adversary until now.
The new Android platform is growing by leaping and bounds everyday and many mobile app developers are creating iPhone apps but also latching on to the android platform. One of the drawbacks to the Android platform early on was that the Apple App Store dwarfed that of Android but over the recent months more and more Android apps are becoming available and Android is actually taking a decent portion of the market back from Apple.

Here are some comparisons between the technologies.
Android:
Operating system: Android OS that uses a modified version of Linux kernel. Originally developed by Android, Inc. and recently purchased by Google; Allows developers to write managed code in Java.; Allows users to multi-task.
Phones available on the Android platform: Motorola droid, HTC Nexus One, HTC Eris, HTC Hero,HTC Tattoo, MyTouch 3G, LG Eve just to name a few.
iPhone:
Operating system: iPhone OS-Derived from the Mac OS X, shares the Darwin foundation. The OS has four abstraction layers, the core OS layer, the core services layer, the media layer and the cocoa touch layer. The OS uses less than500 MB of the device's memory. Unable to multi-task.
Phones available on the iPhone platform: Apple iPhone
From just looking at these stats, I think the Android Platform is going to be the next big thing with smart phones. The iPhone just seems so locked up and controlled. I know you can "jailbreak" the iPhone but who wants to do that to their device? I really like the Nexus One, it has a sleek design and has the ability to multi-task. I know the apps aren't to level of the iPhone just yet, but give them time and I'm sure they will be more than worthy in a year or so.

So you have heard everywhere that the Verizon iPhone is now officially on its way. Great! Now let's put an end to spreading the facts and details. We're going to post all the information you need to know about the Verizon iPhone right here on one single post.
  • When is it coming? Current Verizon customers can pre-order the iPhone on Feb. 3rd while everyone else can buy it Feb. 10th.
  • How much will it cost? The 16GB iPhone will cost $199 while the 32GB iPhone will cost $299. Both include a 2 year contract.
  • Can I buy the iPhone for Verizon without a contract? Yes. To be honest we couldn't find any exact pricing for that but I'd assume you could just add $200 to each respective iPhone and we'd be getting close to the retail cost of a Verizon iPhone without a contract.
  • I heard the Verizon iPhone will be on a CDMA network, but what does that mean? The biggest thing die-hard iPhone users will notice is that they will be unable to be on a phone call and use the internet at the same time using the Verizon network.
  • Can the Verizon iPhone be Jailbroken? It's almost a sure thing. The only question is when and how. According to a source a Verizon Jailbreak is already in the works.
  • Can the Verizon iPhone be unlocked? Apparently all CDMA phones are unlocked. It's more of a matter of will another CDMA carrier let you use that device on their network. If you are a sprint customer it seems that chances are no whereas if you are a Cricket customer it may actually be a possibility. Thanks iphonefaq.org!
  • Can I use my AT&T iPhone on the Verizon network now that Verizon will be offering an iPhone? No. AT&T iPhones use a different antenna.

  • Is it possible Verizon won't be the only new carrier to sell the iPhone? Yes, because it appears there is now no exclusive carrier contract in effect in the United States for the iPhone. So as far as we know in the next few months announcements of an Apple iPhone coming to T-Mobile or Sprint is very possible.
  • What is the Verizon iPhone hotspot feature? It will allow Verizon iPhone users to tether / turn their phones into a mobile wifi hotspot. So you could be your own mobile wifi provider for your laptop and other wifi enabled devices. You will be able to do this to up to 5 devices at once. There will be a fee for doing this but such pricing for this or the Verizon iPhone data plan has not been made public yet.
  • Can I pre-order in store? No. Online only!
  • I constantly hear that I should wait before getting this iPhone for Verizon, but why? Because chances are that when the iPhone 5 comes out this year you will regret your current purchase considering you'll be locked in a contract and won't be able to get that nice special upgrade promo price by extending your mobile contract. So if Apple stays on target with releasing new iPhones yearly we should see an iPhone 5 come out this summer and I don't see why they wouldn't release one for Verizon too.

android 2.1 vs iphone

Google these days is trying to enter in all markets. On the Android platform, Nexus One is their next product in the market. It appears that Nexus One has most of the features as are in the iPhone and is seen as the strongest competitor of the iPhone. The iPhone however, an Apple product, has already established its roots in the market. It is currently the favorite mobile phone for many. In this article I will compare certain features of both the phones.
Storage: iPhone comes in three different sizes i.e. 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. iPhone does not support external memory cards and have inbuilt memory only. Nexus one comes up with 4 GB memory card and support up to 32 GB. The internal disk is faster than external memory cards. iPhone have an edge here over nexus One.

Battery life: Google has worked hard for battery and that is the reason Nexus one has 7 hours of talk time where iPhone hardly provides 5 hrs of talk time. Nexus also give 250 hours of standby time.
Camera: Nexus one has 5 Megapixel camera which can be a reason for you to leave your digital camera at home. iPhone has 3.0 Megapixel camera. Both the phones support video recording and editing.
Applications: iPhone certainly has edge here as iPhone application market is very big. There are over one million iPhone applications. The android market is new as compared to iPhone and it has around 20,000 applications. Both the markets are growing and there are ample of applications for both the mobile phones.
Price: Apple iPhone costs $199 with contract and $599 without contract. Price of Nexus is $179 with contract and $529 without contract.
Operating system: iPhone has iPhone OS 3.1.2 and Nexus has Android 2.1 operating system. Both operating systems almost have same features and performance.
Features: iPhone has very serious constraint which is it does not support multitasking. Nexus support multitasking and you can run several applications simultaneously.
Weighing both the phones on multiple parameters one can say that Nexus one has more features than iPhone. In terms of dimensions and look, Nexus one is smaller in size and it is more stylish. The best thing is that Nexus one is cheap and it has brand name of Google. It is for sure that the phone will get the Google benefit and will win number of hearts. Still we cannot say iPhone will not be able to compete as it already has number of customers and there is pool of people who like apple's products. Apple will certainly try its best to compete in the market and provide various new features in the iPhone. Nexus one is still with beta testers and only time will tell how well it perform.
