new iphone software

iPhone software downloads are sure to be in great demand in the coming months. Apple's iPod has been a supreme success story over the last decade or so. Now, the latest generation of Apple technology lets you combine your cell phone with your entertainment. In this article you'll find out the story behind software downloads for your Iphone, and how to get them for free.
Apple have introduced a policy towards third party companies of only letting them produce peripheral devices, and not software directly for the iPhone. The software inherent in the iPhone has already been hacked, and pirate firms on the web are selling programs which allow the user to override the integrated software, and connect to networks other than the ones which Apple has programmed the machine to work with. Apple, of course, desperately don't want this to happen, and they have stated quite explicitly that if any of the hacked software is used, the guarantee will no longer be valid.

It is quite possible that Apple will soon bring out an updated version of their software, to try and invalidate the software that the hackers have developed. It isn't certain at this stage whether or not the software is fatally affected by this, but you can be sure it one of the priorities, given Apple's openly aggressive stance, and the potentially massive profits that will be made from this in the coming months. One of the other reasons given for the new update is that it will allow the iTunes music store to be reached via Wi-Fi. You can get this feature as part of the iPhone software downloads.
If you are on the look out for genuine Apple software that can be used within the guidelines laid down by Apple, then it will be heartening to learn that Apple has promised to continually improve the standard of the iPhone software, and also that all future updates will be free. The hackers will no doubt be watching, and ready to counter with their own new solution. It will doubtless turn into a kind of chess game between the hackers, and Apple's own software developers, with each desperately trying to counter the moves of the other as quickly as possible. Time will tell us how clever the software developers at Apple will become. Keep your eye on the latest iPhone software downloads.

when does new iphone come out

On the 4th of October people around the world were expecting the iPhone 5 and its white version to take center stage. However, there were a number of Apple enthusiasts who were disappointed to see the Cupertino firm's CEO Tim Cook officially announce the iPhone 4S. Many wondered if the most highly anticipated smartphone would ever be launched.
There are various reasons why Apple's fans were looking forward to the company's 5th generation iOS 5-powered handset. First of all, the competition offered handsets with bigger touch screens such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation XE. This rumored handset was said to sport at least a 4 inch display.
Another feature people were expecting was completely different design. The phone was said to sport a curved design. It was said to be totally different from the 4th generation iPhone's boxlike design. Instead, the 4S was unveiled. In terms of design, it was exactly like the Apple's former flagship handset.

True, the new smartphone does not fall short on power and the latest software. It comes packed with the A5 dual-core processor and is pre-installed with the iOS 5. However, people are still wondering about what they expected was to come. Will it ever be launched?
Although we cannot officially confirm if it will ever come out, we can take a look at the clues. Apple has contracted a new chip manufacturer to create the A6 chip. This is said to be the latest chipset that will come packed under the hood of the company's future devices. It is said to be a more powerful dual-core processor. Some even believe that it will be a quad-core. However, it will only be available in 2012. This suggests that the phone we were expecting will be launched by next year.
Many thought that the iPhone 5 and its white version would sport NFC (Near Field Technology) capabilities. Sadly, we did not get this feature on the 4S. This feature would have allowed Apple's fans to enjoy the luxury of contactless payments. Apple is said to be testing the waters when it comes to this technology. It is probably monitoring how NFC progresses in today's features. Once the technology kicks off, it is most likely to follow suit. We might just see their 5th generation smartphone sporting NFC next year.
If you were disappointed with the current 4S, do not be discouraged. It is most likely that we will see the iPhone 5 by next year. 2012 is just a few months away.

new apps for iphone

We know there are about a hundred trillion iPhone apps we could go through and be excited about, but unfortunately an article containing such a massive litany would probably make your computer explode.
So, we're not going to go overboard here and hurt your brain. Instead, lets present you with a shortlist of what iPhone Apps we like.
What makes one iPhone App more appealing then another? There's a number of crucial elements. It has to have a function that's interesting, sure, but it also has to be something that we can use in our daily or weekly lives - in other words, it should have an impact on our overall quality of life. That's what technology is here for, after all: to make things easier on us. Hopefully these apps deliver on that necessary ingredient while doing it with a little flair. This is the internet age, after all, and we have been blessed with abundance and choice, right? Let's take a look at the apps we've dug up.

iPhone App # 1 - Heytell. The development crew from Voxilate have developed a really ingenius way to communicate. Heytell uses VOIP technology to send short messages recorded in audio to anyone else who has the App installed. The simple to use interface makes it dead easy to send a message. Just click on a contacts name, press the record button, and once you've finished the message is instantly sent. Your voice message is instantly transferred over to their iPhone, ready to be heard when it suits them. Heytell is free to install and use. Extra features will cost a few dollars, but they're not essential and you can still save on call costs.
Top App No 2 - iTorch4. If you're a proud owner of an iPhone 4 you might have noticed there's a handy light / flash on the back of the iPhone. Well, this App allows you to use that light whenever you wish. You'll be able to light up your path in darkness once this app is installed. You won't need to launch the iPhone's camera app just to turn on the light. This app is a quick and easy solution for controlling your iPhone 4's on / off switch. Kinda makes you wonder why Apple haven't done this already. This App is voted number 2 simply because it's needed and it serves a well needed purpose. Forget the torch or flashlight. The iPhone 4 and this app installed is all you need!
iPhone App # 3 - Angry Birds Rio. Life should be fun and exciting, and this app delivers hours of fun for free. A spin-off from the original Angry Birds series, the goal here is to knock out the bad pigs and save your birdy friends. This is a game of skill, but it's not too hard to work out. There's one great reason why heaps of people love this type of game. It's easy, and fun! Don't take our word for it, download it and install it yourself. It's a superb game and can be downloaded from the App Store for free! How can you beat that?
So, are there any more Apps worth checking out? Of course there are, but hopefully these nice little programs have excited you about what's headed your way in 2011.

at&t new iphone

AT&T has been known to have pricier voice and data plans than their competitors, other than Verizon. Yet with the new announcement of their next generation data plans on June 2nd, they've decided to introduce new tiered data plans for their users, and do away with their unlimited data plan for their new customers.
As you well may already know, the previous unlimited plan was $30/month. These new data plans include a "DataPlus" 200MB plan at $15 per month for light data users, which AT&T claims is "enough to send/receive 1,000 emails (no attachments), plus send/receive 150 emails with attachments, plus view 400 Web pages, plus post 50 photos on social media sites, plus watch 20 minutes of streaming video," and a "DataPro" 2GB at $25 per month for heavier data users which is supposed to be able to "send/receive 10,000 emails (no attachments), plus send/receive 1,500 emails with attachments, plus view 4,000 Web pages, plus post 500 photos to social media sites, plus watch 200 minutes of streaming video." Users who have the $25 plan also have the option to add tethering for an additional $20.

Should users exceed their 200MB on the $15 plan, they will be charged an addition $15 for an additional 200MB. If users exceed the 2GB on their $25 plan, they will be charged an additional $10 for an additional 1GB of usage.
So now that we have new data plans and their costs laid out, the question is: Are AT&T's new data plans really that bad for us?
My Take
First and foremost, keep in mind that current AT&T users may grandfather their AT&T plans into the new generation of data plans.
Next, consider this. Most users don't need unlimited data, and for those who do, AT&T is not for you. These new plans allow users to pay less than what they're currently paying, and closer to what they're actually using.
AT&T learned that "65 percent of AT&T smartphone customers use less than 200 MB of data per month on average," while "98 percent of its customers use less than 2 GB of data a month."
I for one, use between a range of 200-400MB a month. If I were to drop my current unlimited plan for the new DataPro plan(2GB/month), I would've saved $5/month, or $60/year for the last two years while the 65% of users who use less 200MB a month would've saved 50% of their current costs.
Also, keep in mind that WiFi may help, and that you don't necessarily need to use your 3G network for all data related tasks.
Does that sound bad to you? In fact, if I had the option between my current plan, and these new plans years ago, take a wild guess as to which I would've chosen.
Tethering
The new costs for tethering are bit hard to grasp for users who've always wanted it. The additional $20/month are a bit expensive, and capped at 2GB/month with no additional bandwidth for the user, I don't think it's worth it.
My Suggestion if You're Considering
So if you're thinking about going to AT&T for a new smartphone, and is concerned about their new data plans, here are my suggestions if you already have a smart phone:
1. Look at your current data usage.
2. Determine which kind of data user you are based on how much data you use.
3. If you're considering an iPhone, its been statistically proven that iPhone users use more data than other smart phones. So take this into consideration.
5. Decide what plans would work best for you.
6. Then ask yourself, should you now be concerned with using more data than the plan you have in mind?
7. Finally, make your decision
Lastly, keep in mind that AT&T has been struggling with the overloading of their wireless bandwidth due to their increased number of subscribers since the introduction of the iPhone. These new limits will hopefully help stabilize their networks and result in a win-win for both the business and the consumer. It's never wrong to have hope, is it?

best new iphone apps

Have you recently purchased an iPhone 3GS and feel a little bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of apps available for you to download? I'm going to guide you through my top 5 must have applications for the iPhone.
  • Skype - If you have a wireless network setup at home, Skype for the iPhone is a powerful application that is convenient and will save you money. With Skype you can make local, inter-state or inter-national phone calls for no cost at all provided the other person you're calling is on the Skype network. Given it's must have status as an application for your mobile phone, many people already have installed it. It's a great opportunity for you to call friends and family who are currently living interstate or abroad at no cost. Take full advantage of this great service.
  • Google - While you can browse your way to Google.com, a better option is to download the Google application. You can access a broad range of the services Google provides, directly through this application. If you love Gmail, Google Docs & Google Reader, it'll give you access to these products much quicker than navigating through the mobile browser. If you need to conduct a search, you can use the voice search function which is great if you're driving or can't be bothered typing in your query.

  • Canabalt -No top 5 selection would be complete without a game to play. Canabalt can be described as Mario Bro's on speed. Jump your way over buildings, through office windows while avoiding crates and boxes. It's a cheap an affordable game that has the same appeal as the classic game snake.
  • Ebuddy - While instant messaging is not as popular as it once was, if you continue to use services such as ICQ, MSN and Yahoo messenger, this application will allow you to access these services on to go and straight from your mobile phone. It's simple to use and has the added benefit of costing nothing at all; it's free.
  • Facebook/Twitter - Facebook has become a world wide sensation and it's now available for you to use for free on your mobile phone. If you've been following (pun intended) the latest social media craze that is twitter, there are many different clients that you can choose from to access. Personally i suggest using Echofon but there are numerous other clients available to use. Try a few different ones to see what suits you best.
There are hundreds if not thousands of applications available directly through the App store on your iPhone. Don't be afraid to have a peek around to see what else is available.

new iphone rumors

The widely anticipated release of iPhone 5 did not happen on October 4th 2011. This came as a shock to many, even though we got iPhone 4S which has great new software plus improved hardware features. With the release of the 4S models rumors for the launching of the 5th generation smart phone began circulating once again.
All rumors suggest that iPhone 5 will be released in 2012. This speculation actually comes with a great degree of certainty. Previously, it was made clear that Apple was working on its 5th generation smart phone. However, for some reason, they are said to have postponed it.

In fact, there are different rumors regarding the reason why the company released the 4S model and not the much anticipated 5th generation device. The first one, which seems quite plausible, is that the engineers could not integrate successfully the 4G LTE chipsets into the thinner teardrop design that iPhone 5 is supposed to have. The company is waiting for new smaller chipsets with greater capabilities to be introduced so that the 5th generation can perform optimally while providing faster data transfer speed.
The second speculated reason behind the postponing of the iPhone 5 release is that Apple now has contracts with mobile telecom carriers. Some experts suggest that the company is waiting for the contracts to expire before it introduced its 5th generation smart phone. That way, they will have greater bargaining power when it comes to signing new contracts.
Even if just one of these speculated reasons is true, we can certainly expect the iPhone 5 release in 2012. The question is when this will happen exactly. It is highly unlikely that the company will release a new product in the first quarter of the year, especially given the fact that its predecessor hit the market the previous fall.
A lot of people bet on the second quarter of 2012. It is possible for the new device to get launched in summer 2012, if the rumors that the new 4G LTE chipsets will be produced quite soon are true. However, a new product launch in the middle of the summer is not traditional for Apple. The current trend is for its smart phones to be introduced one year apart. Besides, the summer is generally low season for tech gadget sales.
It seems that the most plausible launch time for iPhone 5 is the third quarter of 2012. It is highly likely for the 5th generation smart phone to hit the market this time next year.

new iphone features

These days we have some great tools available to us to both network online from home and on the go. Foursquare and Facebook places allow us to check into locations so our connections know where we are and what we are up to while Facebook and Twitter give us the capability of sharing important thoughts, ideas, events, and stories with our fellow networkers. Wouldn't it be cool if we could easily network with new connections when you are out and about? Sonar, a new iPhone app has made this a realizable solution.

Sonar launched in May of 2011 and since its launch has proved an effective and enormously useful tool to networkers. It works by pulling your own contact information as well as your friends contact information from the social networks you are a member of (such as Foursquare, Facebook, and Twitter) and lets you know about potential connections in your area. For instance if you are at a party, meeting, bar, or restaurant, your networking scope just got a whole lot larger.
The Sonar app works for you whether or not other users are utilizing it. However, one drawback is that in order for you to accurately see who is in any given area, people have to check in using Facebook Places or Foursquare. Unfortunately, this can mean the tool is kind of limited right now being as only about 17% of mobile users currently use check in services. Sonar is working on improving this however by adding implicit check ins, such as when people accept an invite from Eventbrite. The creators of Sonar also hope to one day extend the check in capability to include geotagged tweets, Instagram photos and foodspotting images.
Sonar has not forgotten about the business end of networking either. They plan on eventually allowing a company that be hosting a conference to pay to have its executives and employees moved to the top of user's "most relevant" lists to promote more incoming networking invites from relevant contacts. This is similar to the dating sites use of promoted visibility and of Twitter's promoted tweet options. However, Sonar will only allow the company to promote people, not the company or brand.
Currently Sonar is only available free for iPhones, however soon enough it will be released and available to Android users as well. A Foursquare account is required to make use of Sonar and with the planned deployment to Android users, soon everyone will be able to enjoy this unique and useful tool!
As the developer stated, "Sonar lets you take your online identity offline and meet real people in real time." Imagine being able to make more relevant connections and develop more friendships and meaningful relationships than ever before! I bet you never knew that the guy sitting across from you is your boss's brother. Sonar has truly taken social networking to the next level.

new iphone gizmodo

iPhone 4.0 features leaked by Gizmodo
In case you have been out of the loop for the last few weeks, a developer working on the new Apple iPhone 4.0 accidentally left a prototype of the device at a bar in Redwood City Washington. After a unsuspecting bystander found the phone, he attempted to contact Apple before he sold it to Gizmodo for $5000. Once the tech blog got a hold of the device, they disassembled it and revealed what are likely to be a few of its new features. We have listed the most important ones below.
1.) Front facing video camera. You can expect the new iPhone to have a camera for video conferencing. Gizmodo's editor made a point of mentioning the camera's increased size. It will probably support 1080 by 720p HD video resolutions, an option that will excite those looking for a solid video camera in addition to their new phone.

2.) A better screen. When Gizmodo's editor attempted to use the iPhone 4.0, he noticed that the iTunes loader icon had a much more crisp resolution than the icon on the current iPhone 3GS. Although nobody knows exactly what the new screen resolution will be, it's a reasonable guess to assume it will be 960 by 640, similar to most of the rumors floating around.
3.) Bigger battery. The new battery for the iPhone 4.0 takes up 16% more of the space inside the chassis. Every other component in the device has been shrunk down to create more space for the battery. All of this makes sense as Apple moves to include more power consuming components such as the video camera and higher resolution screen.
From what we have seen, the new cell phone will be unlike any model we have seen from Apple so far. It's a shame the next stevenote won't come as much of a surprise.

new iphone

Apple may be taking most of the recent mobile industry headlines with their recently released iPhone 4S but at the same time there has been an 8GB edition of the original iPhone 4 introduced to the market that has literally slipped underneath the radar.
The new addition to the iPhone 4 portfolio joins the 16GB and 32GB models with its new, smaller 8GB memory but aside from this difference it is exactly the same phone with all of the same great features and technology packed into the same iconic casing.
There are two main benefits for choosing the new iPhone 4 8GB edition over both the larger memory versions as well as the new iPhone 4S, the first is price, this new iPhone is significantly cheaper than any of the other available models and all that the consumer really loses out on is memory.

The second is that the expectation of the release of a new iPhone 5 which turned out to be the new iPhone 4S has many consumers a little disappointed, this is because the new 4S is offered in exactly the same casing as the entire iPhone 4 range.
This means that even the new iPhone 8GB looks exactly the same as the high specification 4S model and unless the phone is seen in action other would not know which model the user has.
These two plus points for the new 8GB edition iPhone are drawing many consumers to buying the new Apple iPhone 4 8GB as well as those currently using the older 3GS model to upgrade to the new format.
Sales of the iPhone 4 in all of its memory formats jumped significantly on the announcement of the new 4S partly down to the obvious hype surrounding Apple at the time but also due to the deals for these older fourth generation phones being heavily discounted by mobile phone retailers in order to make room for stocks of the new model.
It looks to be a very wise move by Apple to release this less expensive 8GB iPhone 4 at a time when money is tight for many families, the smaller memory will not worry those who do not store thousands of music tracks and apps and when the new iOS5 upgrade is released these users will be able to store remotely to the iCloud service which will free up extra memory.
Also, many consumers who have not considered buying Apple before because of the large price tag demanded for their products are now finding that the new iPhone 4 8GB is falling within their budget with a free phone offered for as little as £25 per month line rental.
For more information and the latest iPhone 4 deals or to have a look at the iPhone 4S deals as they are released please take a look at our website: Phones Limited.

apps for

Undoubtedly, the year following the global recession has been tough on the entire economy, having a severe impact on not only the way people choose to spend their discretionary income, but in many cases limiting the availability of this source of spending. Despite this slight gloom and doom, Christmas, like any other year, is a time for holiday cheer and celebration, and mobile users are showing little to no restraint in sharing the holiday spirit with their friends and family; in fact, according to the results of a survey conducted by the National Retail Federation, nearly 50% of the respondents planned to utilize their smartphones as a preferred way to shop this holiday season. Moreover, according to Internet Retailer magazine, Americans are getting ready to spend roughly about $5.4 billion at the hands of some of the larger retailers that have gotten involved with mobile applications

Retailers have accordingly responded to this trend by scurrying to get onboard the apps bandwagon to make whatever big bucks there are available from this marketing channel. An example is Toys "R" Us with a new digital Christmas catalogue this year - a mobile version of its annual Great Big Christmas Book which is used by consumers to identify possible Christmas presents. Bob Friedland, a spokesman for Toys "R" Us said, "As our customers move more and more into the digital space, we want to make sure we are providing them with ways to utilize the newest technologies to help make it easier for them to find information about our brand, the products we sell and the incredible deals available at Toys "R" Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com."
Undeniably mobile has a long way to go in the realm of digital marketing, and Christmas time is no exception to its popularity. In addition to retail-based apps, there is a wide array of just for fun mobile apps, both paid and free, for iPhone, Android and Blackberry users. iPhone and Android: Is BBM in Their Future?

Research in Motion, or RIM, may release Blackberry Messenger, or BBM, for iPhones and Androids. This rumor has flown around the internet for months but has yet to come to fruition or be affirmed by RIM. On the contrary, at the Blackberry World 2011 Q&A Session for Developers, RIM has affirmed that they are not in the process of developing their BBM to be used on the iPhone or the Android. Although they did not rule out the possibility of an interface to enable the BBM for iPhone or Android users in the future, it seems that they have a very good reason not to pursue this route.

The Blackberry Messenger is built on a proprietary platform and infrastructure that sets the Blackberry apart from other devices and is one of their primary differentiators. In order to adapt the BBM for iPhone and Android users, a complete restructuring would be necessary and they would lose one of their main advantages over their competitors. This is according to one of the developers at the Blackberry World 2011 Q&A Session for Developers.
However, RIM has recently confirmed that they have an adaptation for the Enterprise level that allows third-party interface with BBM. This enables the employees of a business to interface their devices with those of the business and use the BBM for iPhone and Android devices.
It is entirely possible, however, that enabling even limited use of the BBM for iPhone and Android devices could attract a new demographic of iPhone or Android users who find themselves enamored of the BBM application and would therefore make the switch to Blackberry.
Even though many critics say that RIM is missing out on a large percentage of the market by limiting the Blackberry Messenger to their own devices, RIM seems inclined to stay with their current marketing direction. Despite the many rumors to the contrary, at the present RIM is indicating that the only BBM interface for other devices will be in the Enterprise area, which is designed for the business sector.
Other companies have developed similar applications, such as Kik and PingChat!, that can be used across different platforms and Apple now has iMessage which is similar to the Blackberry Messenger. However, when RIM filed a lawsuit against Kik that alleged patent infringement, Kik would no longer accept BBM users. Apple's iMessage will work with the iPad, the iPhone and the iPod touch but not the BBM.
Part of RIM's reluctance at the present to share the BBM application with other devices may be the current state of their company, which has laid off 2,000 manufacturing workers while at the same time hiring two new COO's.
In summary, for those users who were anticipating the BBM for iPhone and Android devices, the wait will continue as RIM has not indicated that this is on their agenda in the foreseeable future. RIM has confirmed this in at least two separate statements and currently plans to offer a BBM interface in their Enterprise area only.
Hello, my name is Jacob and I am the owner of this blog. Here you will find the latest news and updates on the Blackberry Messenger. I think Research in Motion is really missing the boat by not making BBM available for other applications so I will keep on top of this for you. iPhone 4 Or Android? - Smartphone Superiority

Google and Apple have been releasing some amazing new technology in their new devices as they Battle to be the best smartphone in the market. Note that the iPhone was launched one year before the first android phone. Currently Apple has a head start with a 27% share on the smartphone market as appose to Android's nine percent share. Does that absolutely prove that Apple's iPhone are better than Google's android phones? Don't judge so fast.
iPhone 4 is currently exclusively sold by At&t, though this may change in the future. Apple is capable of generating a rave of fans that isn't seen with any other manufactures products. As a result people wait in long lines on launch day in hopes to be able to receive or preorder an iPhone. Apple generally has a solid core of loyal fans and users.

Goggle's Android powered phones are picking up pace in the smart phone market and are accelerating in sales growth quarter by quarter. Google's leverage is that they have more saturation of phones being manufactured by many different companies and have a presence in every major US carrier. A Perfect example is the Samsung Galaxy S which has a variation in four major US carriers plus in some European and Asian countries as well.
A new Android phone is launched every three to six months by different manufactures and with improved specification from their previous generations. This fast paced life cycle keeps Android ahead of the curve in technology and future upgrades.
Android has the potential to become the superior smartphone but iPhone market share is still big enough to stand ground. It has been un-officially announced that Verizon will carry the iPhone early next year. Because phone can get apps, including windows mobile, BlackBerry and some prepaid phones, both Apple and Google risk getting stale if they can't bring something brand new to the table in future generation devices. Google needs a game changer while Apple is tapping into a deeper well of potential customers. There is a need for more open source apps that are useful to daily life. Look into adding more fun by including some new hardware to use in connection with new apps. Maybe a heart rate sensor for joggers or a 3x optical zoom if it's at all possible.

Idea For an iPhone Or Android Application - Photo Notes

The Need:
All phone users across the world have some time or other felt the necessity to describe a scene or object to another person on the other end of the call. However technology has still not given us the ability to click a photograph and send it across as a description to discussion. Often the photo has to be clicked before and notes are sent either verbally or in a separate SMS.
The Setting:
The target area where such a need is most likely to be fulfilled is the smart-phone market and their users. Smartphones already have the capability to make phone calls and click photographs. The higher end phones like Androids and iPhones have the capability to deploy custom applications. The people carrying such mobiles often experiment with their apps and may be more open to new apps like these. So this happens to be the perfect setting for such an application.

The Concept:
An application which seamlessly interfaces with the main dialer application. This application will have access to the camera as well as be capable of using a photograph as a canvas to write notes and basic graphics (like circles, squares and arrows). The application should be able to click the photograph and write the notes while the call is in progress and send it as an sms/mms/web attachment to the phone number at the other end. That way there will be a seamless way to describe things while in the call.
The Use Cases:
One strong use case is troubleshooting in industrial repair scenarios. Often a field engineer is not as well trained as a main engineer sitting at the dept of maintenance. Such an application would make real time remote repair possible. Another possible use case would be directions for a person coming to meet you. You could send a pic with your setting and a circle around the destination!
The Challenges:
There are of course a few challenges in developing such an app.
  1. The phone has to have a powerful processor to multi-task like this (Snapdragon maybe)
  2. The application should have a basic paint like interface which maybe difficult to develop in non-touch devices
  3. The phone should not stall the call or the voice clarity while processing the photo
Notwithstanding these challenges, the usefulness of such an app would make the phone a real asset. To this end I am in the process of writing the code for such an application for my android phone. Wish me luck!
